Blue I'm not biting on what the Bears PR machine is telling us I'm going with what I saw and even though it hasn't been much so far he's a lot more player than CZ was especially his potential as a pass rusher which Zorich never really was.
Agree with the 'potential' part and agree we've seen a couple flashes so don't get me wrong i'm not saying it's never gonna happen ( and I hope it does ... boy do i hope it does. I hope every player on the team turns into a pro bowler asap ). But UNTIL it does : I ain't got no diamond cutter; I've hopped off the self-delusion bandwagon; and I'm keeping my feets planted firmly on the ground lest he and others disappoint me. And he's still Chris Zorich to me until proven otherwise ( but that ain't all bad cuz i liked CZ alot) .
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I don't know about all this talk about Chris Zorich because I never watched the Bears on TV except for the occasional Monday Night Football appearance and then full-time over the past seven or eight years. But I do know what I saw on tape from Paea when he was at Oregon State, and let me tell you that he looks like he could be another D'animal or McMichael. He's quick, tough, big, and did I fail to mention strong? He's going to be great for us so long as he stays healthy. I just hope that he becomes the beast for the Bears that we've all been hoping he would become since his draft day.

I agree .... but he's not a BEAST . He's a functional tackle when healthy who hopefully will get good enough to have truly earned a "beast" label. He ain't there yet.

I'll tell you one thing, Blue: I'd never get married. I'd be busy getting all the pussy I could handle. Derek Jeter has the right idea.

To be honest I did too. He's another example of a Bears player who's just a great human being in addition to being a very good football player. And that's what he was. A "football player". A "Grabowski" who wasn't an athlete but played the game as it was designed to be played. Loved the guy for his effort and his motor and so did Ditka but the kid was an undersized overachiever as DTs go.

Paea is 2" taller and about 25lbs bigger and in Paea's case that a very strong and solid 25lbs. I know we haven't seen all that much of him as a pro yet but I watched a lot of his game vids at OSU before the draft and after he did those 47 reps at the combine. That's when I became a Stephen Paea fan. He's not the slickest pass rusher out there but the kid is relentless in that same way that Pep is. He'll hunt to you down until he sacks you if you don't get rid of the ball and he can and will chase you down when you try to escape the pocket.

So is he Zorich like in that regard? Yeah I'd say you're right about that but I think he's got physical tools and a skill set that Chris Zorich could only dream of. Their "motors" are a lot alike but where CZ was just a very good DT this kid Paea is a "beast". I just want him to stay healthy and prove it. This kid has John Randle kind of inside pass rush potential and Randle in his prime was virtually unblockable. Paea has that same kind of combination of strength and burst with his first step. JMHO

Or as a very wise old man once told me during my youth (yeah Dags I was young once so don't start in on me with that old man stuff, OK?). "Never waste an erection". That seems simple enough to me. (Let's see, do I have that nurses phone number on speed dial?)
