Chicago Bears CUTLER : I Dont Need No Stinking O.L. !

    The man has got balls.

    Only six sacks ?

Looks like a good season coming up.

Why do we all talk about the O.L. in the first game of pre-season ?

Well, because we're BEARS fans and some credit should be given,

as to what could be a problem thruout the season,

    as observed by BEARS fans.

The rest of the team looks decent for the first pre-season game.

The turd in the punchbowl that everyone knew was there (the glaring weakness that had a lighthouse spotlight on it ) that Lovetrain and MORONelli conveniently ignored ( again ) because they just had to have ANOTHER shiny new toy for their beloved defense.

Yea ..... it coulda waited just 1 more year. Oh well , guess we're just gonna hafta hope we can win shootouts.

But what the heck- it might just wind up being a lotta fun to watch.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

You know Blue, I grow tired of reading all the shit I do about the offensive line. You'd think that something would have been done about it by now, but just like in the Jerry Angelo regime, our intelligence gets insulted by the coaching staff, and as a result, we have to sit through yet another year with an awful line. I'm not saying that there isn't going to be some improvement made in weeks two through four of the preseason - there will be - but we shouldn't be talking about this line struggling to run block when that's been something it's done relatively well at for the past year or so. Hell, even in 2010, when our offense finished ranked 30th in the league, the running game became a formidable force to be reckoned with as the season went along and the blocking slowly but surely improved.

Like JABF99 has said numerous times, we don't need to get our panties in a wad over what happened in the first preseason game. We didn't show our hand at all, and I bet Denver was more anxious than we were to unleash what was in their arsenal since they had virtually all of their starters in the game. The first team defense played very well without Brian Urlacher and Julius Peppers last Thursday, considering that Major Wright, I think it was him, picked off Manning on the only drive he was in on during the entire night. We were down 10-0 at the half. At least we know McClellin has the ability to be something more than simply smoke and mirrors.

I understand, too, that Chris Williams played very well at RT when he was asked to. That's an encouraging sign. I shudder to think that Webb gave up his only sack and committed his only penalty during the period of time when Denver's first team defense was out on the field. If I had to guess, the sack came against Von Miller, who looks like he's going to be the next Lawrence Taylor in my mind, even though he plays in the 4-3 defense. Denver also has a very good defensive unit, and as I have a sneaking suspicion from what little I have watch preseason football games, defenses always show up in tip top shape before offenses do. With the way that our coaching staff has fucked up this offensive line, who knows what will happen, but I'm eager to see the competition between Webb and CWill unfold. In my opinion, I think CWill will probably win the job, but I won't be shocked either if Webb does.

When the head coach and the asst/hc (< gotta make sure the guy gets his proper label soz I show the proper respect ) are defense 1st guys, their wishes come first come draft time. Even if they STILL shoulda (no needed ) to use another one on an o-lineman, even tho they did that in 08 and 11. Why ? Cuz it ain't fixed until it's REALLY fixed.

    Hope McClellin pans out though.

McClellin just has to pan out. If he doesn't, we have another Jerry Angelo-like fiasco on our hands with a general manager who can't draft worth a shit in the first round.
