I don't know if things are as bad as some fear. It's so early in the pre-season that I don't think we know much of anything as to how good or bad the finished oline product will be this year.

One other point. If you look at our roster, we have 6 tackles. Other than C.Will, they are pretty young. Last year's performances may not have much bearing on where they are at this year.

Their experience runs from rookie (like Brown) to Webb who is only in his 3rd year now. We always hear that it takes about 3 seasons for an offensive lineman to be decent, and I'd imagine this is if you leave the guy at one position and not switch him all over the place and confuse him (not that the Bears would every play any players out of position

Regarding Webb, this may be partially Tice's way to keep serious heat on him, to push him (like my DI in the Marine Corps ), or who knows, maybe some Tice Jedi Mind Tricks. I just don't think we can really make a DEFINITIVE judgement on this year's oline, at this early point in time.

So consequently, I'm not going to worry at this point. It's like we're "manufacturing" things to panic about at this very early stage. I'm going to chill until we see them play "real" games during the regular season.

    Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

No, it's more fun to do the "Chicken Little" thing and believe the sky is falling after 1 pre-season game. Obviously we know everything about the oline after 1 pre-season game. Oh, the humanity of it all.....

Don't know about the sky falling but I do remember watching the 2010 pre-season and people saying "oh it's just pre-season don't read anything into that". (one of the worst OL ever) And for those of us who have watched more than one season and starting to see certain things repeat themselves the sky isn't falling but it is indeed cracked. That "sure thing" LT is getting benched and the HOF MLB got scoped.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

why wait and see them play first when we've seen them play horrible in regular season already and don't see any improvement yet?

This is not Shea where he's a rookie, never played a reg season game AND just had a bad start to camp. This is a movie we've seen for the last 2 years; and it's one of those crappy B movie's that tried to mock other B movies and just failed miserably.

You know, it's fine for all of us to get into the excitement of a new season. I'm as nutty as anyone. And you guys know I'm concerned for the offensive line. I'm just trying not to despair at this point. My heart has me about ready to crap over all of this, but my head says "wait a bit" and see if these guys can improve.

you can judge how Carimi will do and has done?
being healthy would be a key to the OLine
no more Omyfail is addition by subtraction
NO MORE FUCKING MARTZ who hates his QBs - we now the Tice WHO LIKES TO PROTECT his QBs

    Webb - CWill - Garza - Louis - Carimi
    Spencer - EWill - Brown

I know this is not good, but we've had so many changes and the OLine is young and lacks experience. It's way to early to judge this group after 1 PreSeason game. We all have to worry but asking who is to blame for this is downright stupid

WHo's talking about Carimi? We are talking about Webb and his awful play. CWill is no longer going to get to play G; where you been, G's are Spencer/Louis and CWill is the Swing T.

    Keep up w/camp.

That's the way it's been shaping up I agree. But a lot of us see the "best 5" pretty much as German does.. Assuming CW doesn't play LT (which I doubt will happen), then he's our best LG and was last year too. I know it was just one PS game but Spencer looked like ass there last week and we already know that CW knows the position and is better than that.

Until otherwise seen; CW is the LT or swing; b/c he's also the best swing. Not saying I agree/disagree just stating fact as fact.
