This is preseason, they probally had him blocking from the back of his heels with only his left arm. Perhaps this is the year, I swear some of these other team scrimages had some awful play on the line last week, worse than Webb anyways. I've been watching these sluggos every week since Abe Gibron was coaching them. Sir, "Cope" is my middle name. Seriously I haven't been as excited about a Bears team before this one since the mid 80's but Bears tradition calls for a great OLine and we ain't got one yet. That '85 defense didn't win the '86 Super Bowl all by itself. The "Bruise Brothers" had a lot to say all season long too.

Hub hates the Bears (there is a story as to why). He loses all credibility because he simply can not be objective regarding the Bears. Gale Sayers (loved him as a player) is another guy who seems to hate on the Bears a lot......although he seems to have mellowed in the past couple of years.

I'm sorry. I give zero credibility to anything Hub says.

OK Blue, I'll risk it but only 'cause I don't own a horse.

My take on it is that Hub was a friend of and a big supporter of Dick Jauron and he thought the Bears gave him the shaft when they fired him. Why I don't know since the guy has only had one winning season out of ten (five with Chicago) as an NFL HC, but that's at least part of it from what I've heard.

The other part makes more sense to me. It's said that he hates the McCaskey's in general and Michael in particular (that may be at least one reason for actually liking Hub) but for what specific reason I don't know. It's more than just the Jauron thing but other than the same general dislike for the way the team has been managed we all have I don't know.

Anyway, Hub has a tendency to backhand them at every turn so I'm not sure his opinions can be counted on as being all that unbiased. His comments about CWill notwithstanding this wouldn't be the first time he ridiculed a Bears player he just didn't like and it won't be the last either. It's what he's known for.

Besides what isn't said or implied by this is whether CWill has only looked crappy playing LT or RT? I have to assume that's the case since from what I understand those are the only two places he's been playing during camp. Well now how fair is that? The guy has been playing inside for two years and doing fairly well and now gets yanked into another spot again for the first time in two years. Was he supposed to just wow everyone right from the get go.

I think CWill is a decent enough lineman but he's not good enough to just line up anywhere and expect pro bowl play from him immediately. I'm not a CWill fan boy but no one on that entire team has been more mishandled than he's been.

Agree 100% with the mishandled part. I was always amazed at all the slack Ohmyfail and Webb got at LT compared to this guy. Add in the fact that Cwill is also coming off an injury and I've got to feel for this guy at least a bit. (Damn you Denver for taking Clady lol).
