Martz was being "courted" to take a div 1 college position. I wouldn't put it past the brass that either they made it up to make him leave easier or they did it as a joke and he actually thought anyone would have that sucka.

The man KNOWS the game. Unfortunately he he comes with some warts. Big hairy ones. He has had success, and by God, his previous methods will always work. If it doesn't, then it is the players fault, not his own fault for not tailoring his system to present players. If he seems inflexible, go back and read the part about his system works and it's the players fault.
You just plain don't succeed at anything like that. And he failed here pretty badly.
