We wouldn't get much if anything in trade for either GbPH. Teams wait for guys like that to get cut rather than give up a pick for them. Maybe you could squeeze a 7th out of someone for Bell but I even doubt that.
It should be very interesting to see who we keep, who we cut, and who we try to sneak onto the PS. Clutts is making it real hard to let him go. The guy is a stud blocker and a good ST guy and being the backup LS makes him valuable enough to give him and edge over Unga who would be a better runner and receiver. Unga still has PS eligibility so let's hope he can clear waivers and end up there. I like the idea of having him around as a backup to Bush.
As far as the 3rd RB goes I really don't have a favorite. Bell seems to have the inside track but he's also the most expensive option. Allen looks good as a scat back but Booker made a big splash with that return. The kid has moves and good speed. It's gonna be a tough decision as far as who to keep and somebody is gonna pickup a good back with whoever we let go.
I do agree that we'll probably keep 4 TE's for now. Dollars to donuts somebody gets hurt among the backs and TE's before the season is too far along so what we start with may not be the same as where we'll be after four or five games. At these positions the ones who don't start will play STeams and become bigger injury risks. That's how we lost Kyle Adams last year.
I think we'll keep just 8 lineman. The starting five and then Brown, EWill and either CWill or Rachal as the three reserves. Teams always store a couple of extra OLineman on the PS for practice so there will be a couple of guys there for more depth who we can move up if needed. Possibly Brandon and Henry.
That's the way I see it this AM.
