    The OP didn't specifically say just players, and I was inferring Coach Ditka, but IM was a helluva TE.

    I'd take Gale Sayers, the greatest pure runner in the history of the game. Serviceable linemen are always available (if the GM will draft or sign a couple) but a back of Sayers quality is once in a lifetime. (OK, maybe twice with Sanders). With modern technology, those knees would be repaired and maybe not even fail in the first place.

    Fencik, no question. He would stabilize not only our S situation, but the entire defensive backfield by sheer measure of his presence in CF.
