    Chicago Bears The Final 53?

That's what I came up with. Not very scientific or anything, just bits and pieces I've heard from people.
    What does everyone else think?

    QB: Cutler, Campbell, Blanchard

    RB: Forte, Bush, Bell, Clutts
WR: Marshall, Hester, Jeffery, Bennett, Weems, Summers?
    TE: Davis, Spaeth, Adams, Rodriguez
OL: Garza, Louis, Carimi, Spencer, Webb, C. Williams, E. Williams, Rachal
DE: Peppers, Idonije, McClellin, Wootton, Davis

    DT: Paea, Toeaina, Melton, Price
LB: Urlacher, Briggs, Roach, DeCicco, Hayes, Costanzo
CB: Tillman, Jennings, Hayden, Moore, McCoy, Wilhite?
    S: Wright, Steltz, Conte, Hardin
    P: Podlesh
    K: Gould
    LS: Mannelly

I'd hope to see Nate Collins stick on that DL, and as far as LB JT Thomas has done pretty well this preseason it seems. Some tough cuts ahead.

Summers will go to the PS, Sanzenbacher will make the active roster.
We will not keep 4 TE's. I think Spaeth might be the odd man out. For a blocking TE, he sure did wiff a lot.
I think we may keep 5 DT's instead of 5 DE's, Collins will make the team and Davis won't.
If Wilhite makes the team I'd be shocked. He flat sucks.

    I'd say that's awfully close.

I'd cut Wilhite and maybe they keep Rashied Davis strictly for ST in his place. Our coverage units could use him.

I'd also keep Nate Collins over Chauncey Davis.

Gotta find a place for JT Thomas somewhere too. Maybe we can sneak him onto the PS, or if DeCicco is gonna be slow to recover from his groin injury we put him on the IR.

Summers I'd try to sneak onto the PS to give him a better shot at developing. We can always move him up.

I'd love to dump Spaeth but they won't so that leaves maybe one spot open on offense for either Sanz or Unga. Unga still has PS eligibility so we probably should keep Sanz.

Those are some variations on a theme but a lot could change over the next two weeks based on play and/or injuries.

that's a solid point on Davis Soul, he was a Det CB last year, not WR, and I think for that reason. But the below will depress you.
I'm still hoping Bell is cut for Booker or Allen, I'd like a speed guy on the roster more then another bigger back

I don't think Davis will make the team, he may though just because of his history with the Bears.

Depends on the status of a few others and just how badly Toub needs in on his STeams. Davis is a "four phase" guy there and a lot more valuable on this team than some would be willing to believe.

It sounds like Sanz has been putting in some time on STeams as well and not doing badly so that may help him to stick in place of Summers who I assume it not a STeams guy at the moment.

As for Davis well like I said it's easy enough to dump a guy like Wilhite who would have been a STeamer anyway but has been playing like the doorman at "Fuck Up Central". All we need is one CB to backup Tillman, Jennings or Hayden, and DJ. It'll be either Jennings or Hayden in that role. We'll keep at least one of the rookie CB on the PS and in an emergency Conte and Hardin can play CB if two guys go down in a game. Once their healthy again that is.

I could actually see Wootton not making the team. Would leave the option to keep perhaps both Collins and Price. Crossing my fingers Sanz and Clutts make the team. Hoping Unga clears waivers for the PS.

Other than CW, no other player has been so utterly "mismanaged" by the coaching staff than Wooten. 2 PS in a row he's come into camp healthy and performing impressively only to get hurt by being utterly misused on STs. Wtf is a DE doing on ST coverage? A healthy Wooten (with his burst and explosiveness back) is the guy who can spell Pep, give us quality minutes, and keep him fresh. It's utterly RETARDED to use a valueable player like that as a preseason STer. It isn't his strength and it's a goid way to get him hurt foolishly. STUPID!
