Our 1st round pick has disappeared since that first pre season game also. He's getting swallowed up or washed out way to easy.
K Davis also has done nothing all that special either, considering we traded Olson b/c he was not "a Ditka" what the hell is Davis? He's barely showing himself to be an Olson.

He's blocked pretty decently, but he's not done a thing in terms of receiving. Then again, from the games that I have watched, I haven't noticed a lot of passes going in his direction.

IMHO, C.Will was a decent pulling guard last year at LG. Actually, Spencer was decent too. Not great but decent. If they end up cutting C.Will, then I suspect they don't want to pay him.
I've been hearing the hype about Tice being an oline guru. But when I see all of these head-scratching moves, and flip-flopping of players, my common sense is nagging me to question this. Is this just urban legend? Or, has the guy simply landed on a team that isn't capable of judging or getting decent oline talent? Who, or what is to blame here? Is it a "Jerry Angelo" thing?
I'm beginning to doubt.

You know, I've thought of this same thing. Tice had good luck in Jacksonville building a semi-good offensive line that must've been at least decent because of the success of the running game. That being said, I think he is deluding himself into thinking he can polish a turd and turn it into a gold nugget. This offensive line was, at times last season, pretty decent, but it was never great. The best it ever looked was against the Vikings in the first game last year, when he only sack we gave up was fluke one by Jared Allen that was more the fault of Cutler either not getting out of the pocket or releasing the football quickly enough rather than it being on Webb. Webb can be good, but he needs a lot of help. We need Chris Williams back in at LG in the worst way. He could potentially wind up in the Pro Bowl someday if the coaches were to ever leave him alone and let him develop over a decent period of time.

I heard that Pol Pot down in Cambodia used to feed his prisoners a diet of fresh shit while torturing them.

I agree. The interior of our oline seemed at least average last year, and they actually did some things well. I did see our guards pulling on plays and looking pretty good at times last year. Even Spencer.
That is one reason I'm bewildered by the way the line is performing now. I thought we'd just build on the "good stuff" from last year. To take another step up in improvement.
Instead we switched people around, and went through a meaningless "competition" with C.Will and Webb. Spencer got switched from where he was decent, to where he now sucks. C.Will got pulled from where he was our best and most consistent olinemen, to being a swing tackle now. Garza is trying to help the LG out, and consequently his play has gone from decent to pretty below average now.
It's like Tice lost him mind over the off-season.

If they cut him I wonder if it's due to his injury. But then why pimp him at LT?? Stupidity.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I can't figure out anything that they are doing with the oline. Seriously. None of it makes any sense to me. It's almost like they tried to make the line worse. Why would sane people make the moves that they made this pre-season (with the oline).
Crazy as a pet coon.

Yeah, but that was just to keep their mind off the torture.
