    Just playing devil's advocate
I wish (oh how I wish) that Urlacher was my biggest worry. If Brian's play had been seriously eroding that would be one thing. But he's STILL a pro-bowl player (looked like an absolute stud a few months ago). I could also understand the worry if he had a horrific injury (like Knox).

He had a knee injury like a small army of NFL guys get every season. This is not the 1960's where they hack away your knee (like with Sayers). It's a ho-hum routine cleanup now. Even for an older player.

Holy cow. In the scheme of things, Urlacher is light-years away from our REAL worries.

Yeah about as rare as finding moon rocks in my backyard. Telander hasn't made a valid point since the last free throw he sunk in HS basketball.

    I like Telander.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

For that matter, based on Urlacher's play last year, where he made the Pro-Bowl, he probably has a decent shot at the Pro Bowl again THIS year. Can you imagine the backlash if Phil Emery, CUT a Pro-Bowl linebacker (face of the franchise) and he went to another team and made the Pro Bowl again this year?

    Like Green Bay or Detroit?

And we consequently go down the toilet with Nick Roach? Ha. Phil Emery would be out selling those Webb Nation tee shirts full time then

DOMT CUT BU, but what if you keep him and could have signed a real good back up cut by salary cap, and you kept dead weight?

Again, what if Urlacher does NOT play this year? What if he plays, but looks very poorly?

No one knows what the deal is with his knee. Emery will get heat if he is cut and performs elsewhere.... he will get heat if he is kept and looks like crap.

And we're talking about a knee injury here. Not a broken back or the guy got run over by an Amtrak train. For that matter I don't think the Amtrak would survive 1-on-1 against #54.

Jeepers. Anyone here REALLY believe a 1st time knee injury is gonna end up in Url getting CUT after a Pro Bowl year? Really?

He goes from Pro Bowl to "dead weight" in a few months? Cmon guys.
