Jeepers. Anyone here REALLY believe a 1st time knee injury is gonna end up in Url getting CUT after a Pro Bowl year? Really?
The way his knee injury is being talked about? It very well could be. The term degenerative is never good.
Three knee procedures in an 8 month period (though Urlacher denies two of them) and one secret over seas procedure (which Urlacher isn't discussing) the signs do not look good. Which is the whole premise behind Telender's article.
I know this article (and the author of) is not popular. But Urlacher's condition (1st time injury or not) is a real concern.

He goes from Pro Bowl to "dead weight" in a few months? Cmon guys.
I have had no operations. OK MAYBE procedures, well maybe a few .but I.m not telling. your not open and honest, well then i DO reserve the right to question what you say. I'm fine and ready to go , oh wait I'll miss 10 days of cmp then have an op, then wait till the season starts to see. YES, that is something to be worried about.

I tip my hat to Telander for writing this. He'll get a lot of attention and talk going, which is what he, as journalist wants. It's his job. Telander is "relevant" for a bit after this. Seriously, I can't fault him for writing this. But he knows the truth.
I'll just "agree to disagree" on this one. I broke out laughing when I read that article. It's funny.

What is the truth? What do we actually know?

It's a knee injury. His first. Yes, he had to have it scoped after trying some goofy thing Kobe tried, that didn't work. He probably kept it quiet because he felt like a complete idiot for doing it. I really have not problem with that. But I don't believe in Bigfoot either.
It's time to start the "real" season. Things are getting silly now.

Why does it really matter if it is his first or not? Do you not believe that one knee injury can end a career?

Benji, you are really grasping at straws here. While there is a very outside possibility that the Bears would cut Urlacher because of this, if that did happen, there would be a backlash from the fans the likes of which the franchise has never seen since the boneheaded Michael McCaskey ran the dog and pony show. So, in my opinion, Emery would be a fool to cut Urlacher, knowing that in all likely hood he'll be as good as new come the first few weeks of the season.

Didn't Bo Jackcon ONLY have one hip injury? OK, in the past, better DOC's now ect...., but still was his first and only. What a shame too.
