After a quick glance the only guys I saw with starting experience who jumped out are Anthony Davis and Ryan Harris and I don't know if there are any current injury issues involved with either of them. With Harris I know there have been some in the past.

I'd like Harris. Would have never been cut without some health problems. IIRC...

Anthony Davis was a 1st round draft pick (11th overall pick of the draft). He's only 22 years old. He was really bad his first year. He has slowly been improving since then. It sounds like SF has a wealth of solid linemen (like we had WR's this pre season) so I wonder if SF wanted to get out of his expensive contract.
    Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

    Here's more

    2010 NFL Draft

After the 2009 St. Petersburg Bowl, Davis said on the field that he scheduled a news conference for December 22, to announce his NFL plans.[4] At that news conference, he declared his intentions to enter the 2010 NFL Draft, and said he will hire an agent.[5]
Davis was drafted in the 1st round with the 11th-overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers after the 49ers traded up from the 13th-overall pick with the Denver Broncos in order to select Davis. On July 30, 2010, Davis signed a five-year contract worth $26.5 million, with $15.954 million guaranteed.[6]
Davis is currently the starting Right Tackle for the 49ers. He has started all 16 games in each of his first two NFL seasons.

    Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

That's obviously wrong, 1st round linement don't start every game their first year, let alone all 16 in their first 2. you draft them pre injured; how can they play 16 straight games?

    LOL

    2010 NFL Draft

Davis was drafted in the 1st round with the 11th-overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers after the 49ers traded up from the 13th-overall pick with the Denver Broncos in order to select Davis. On July 30, 2010, Davis signed a five-year contract worth $26.5 million, with $15.954 million guaranteed.[6]

Davis is currently the starting Right Tackle for the 49ers. He has started all 16 games in each of his first two NFL seasons.

    LINK to the article

Right tackle Anthony Davis is not fighting for a roster spot. He is not fighting for a starting job, either.

Davis is entrenched as the starter, and should be ready for a breakout season. His pass protection looks better, as working in the 49ers' entire offseason conditioning program has him in better shape and more sound with his technique than at any point in the past.

Yes, it's the exhibition season. But there's nothing inconsequential about these games for offensive linemen. Hits on the quarterback are just as dangerous -- and hurt just as much -- as they do in the regular season.

The starters are expected to play longer Sunday for the 49ers and Broncos. So that means Davis will be entrusted to block Von Miller, the reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, for a long period of time. Miller recorded 11.5 sacks last season.

Miller's quickness off the snap, combined with the possibility of crowd noise that could make it difficult for the tackles to hear Smith's cadence, will provide a major challenge for Davis.

"I think everybody in the NFL is pretty quick," Davis said. "But I know what you mean. He's exceptionally quick."

Pass protection was a problem in the 49ers' exhibition game against the Houston Texans, though the offensive line was generally not to blame. Guard Mike Iupati allowed one hit on the quarterback. Running back Kendall Hunter did not pick up a blitz, and Alex Smith admitted making bad decisions that left him exposed.

Left tackle Joe Staley will be equally tested on the other side against Broncos' edge rusher Elvis Dumervil.
"With crowd noise behind them, it will be great work for us," 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said. "It will really be good work for us. I think just the way their defense is built right now with those two players coming off the edges, it's tremendous work for us. We have to be on our 'A' game."

    Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Well, the Bears love bringing in former number one picks, why not call him up

I agree. It sounds like this guy has the talent, but had a whopper contract that SF didn't feel they needed to keep (25mil and 15 mil guaranteed).

He's probably going to be a franchise tackle for many years to come, but you're going to have to pay him big money (even after being cut by SF, he's still going to get paid some serious money). He was RT for SF, but often LT's begin their learning curve at RT, then move to LT.

Let's see how serious the Bears are about improving their oline and blocking. They should at least kick the tires on this guy.

Davis joined the 49ers line the same year as Mike lupati (a Vandal player that I followed for a while). Anthony Davis never impressed me during the short time I watched.

I think he is worth taking a look at but from what little I saw, I'd not expect much.
