both aren't anything special... Clutts isn't & Unga isn't.
I thought the same that Soul did.
I have it like
Forte - Booker - Allen
Bush - Unga

Biggs tweeted that S Mark LeGee added to the PS

Yeah, Unga and Clutts are two completely different players. Night and day different. I'm not saying one is better than the other. Just different type players.
Unga is an RB in the Bush-type mold. He is athletic and quick for a bigger RB. Not much of a blocker though. Clutts is primarily a blocker (and a lot more powerful than Unga......Clutts is 260 pounds, and one powerful guy who blocks like a lineman, more than a RB).
You saw Unga whiff on that block to let our punt get blocked the other night. But Clutts on the other hand hits hard enough to send you in for dental work the next day after a gameKnock ya out of your cleats.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.
Clutts can be traded for something/ is valuable that way even if not used in our offense. Unga is good for practice squad, is cheaper, and not worth anything in trade bait. Therefore, he is on our PS and Clutts is traded. I thought it made pretty good sense-

Yeah, at least they got something for Clutts. He indirectly helped our team. And I get it, that Tice doesn't like FB's. Like Martz didn't like TE's. It's just a "scheme thing" ....
Someday it would be nice to have an OC who likes to have ALL weapons firing. Max firepower is a "good thing" not something to fear. And yes, TE's and a FB can co-exist without ruining an offense.![]()

I think that's true in that he is a very good football players and a terrific blocker which at this stage of the game Unga is not. But Unga has some running skills Clutts either doesn't or was never allowed to show.
I think the Bears, or let's say Tice, had his mind made up long ago that when all was said and done he wasn't gonna keep Clutts. I'm just glad they were smart enough to showcase the guy and get someone for him in trade who can help us on STeams and provide some depth at CB. That was a slick move on Emery's part and it helped Clutts as well. He deserved that much based on his efforts.
Houston has a good team and I'm sure he'll be appreciated there more than he would have been in Chicago. I still think it was a bad move but getting a player in exchange makes it easier to swallow.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
