Thanks alot everyone. I'll pass these along to the wifey. This will be our 2nd time to Chicago. The 1st time we went to see them play Green Bay on Monday night. I think it was the week of Christmas 2008. A big snow storm hit just as we got there & it was like 30 to 40 below wind chill at the game. It was AWESOME! Freaking cold but AWESOME!
This time we plan on checking out the stadium some. Hope to get there early.

It has the feel of a pub that hasn't changed since the days of Al Capone. The people who run the place are excellent hosts. They always make you feel like they truly do care about you being there. You just don't see many places like that anymore.

I was at that game (but I think it was Dec. 23rd 2007). I was in the nosebleed seats on the West side, just a few rows from the top. Thought I'd die of the cold, but loved the way we pounded Favre into the frozen ground that day. It must have been his last game against the Bears.

I think you're right 99. We were sitting in the same area man. Both our daughters were with us so we had to left at halftime. They were frozen & the Bears were sucking in the 1st half. So we made it back to our hotel about midway through the 3rd quarter & watched the rest on TV. The Bears came back & won & the hotel went crazy! It was very cool. So the next day another storm was coming so we were delayed at the airport but were very blessed to get on the last flight to Orlando before they started canceling them & thawed out at Disney World. It was 75 degrees & sunny every day we were there. One of my favorite vacations ever.

That's an excellent idea, JD. Enjoy the sunset with a bottle of champagne. I bet she'll do anything you want afterwards.

It is simply AWESOME to watch. One of the BEST views you will ever see, in any city.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

Anyone know how early Soldier Field opens before a game? I'm going to the Bears/Texans game and it'll be my first Bears game at Soldier Field. I want to make sure I get there in plenty of time to look around the stadium since it's a night game and I don't feel like staying up later than I have to. lol

I love getting there early to just soak in the ambiance and history of the place. I dearly love Soldier Field. Lots of great memories for me there.

All Soldier Field parking lots open four hours before kickoff and Soldier Field gates open two hours before kickoff.

All parking lots and garages will open 4 hours prior to game time. Gates open two hours prior to kick-off. Texans vs. Bears is gonna be a great and tough game.
