The votes are in, and the Bears leadership in the locker room isn't changing.
The Bears announced that quarterback Jay Cutler, center Roberto Garza, long snapper Pat Mannelly, defensive end Julius Peppers and middle linebacker Brian Urlacher are the captains, for the second consecutive season.
That's a pretty strong group. What do you think?

Not exactly front page news but does anyone think it should have gone another way?

Groups is pretty sound. PM and or Garza could go either way to me.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

When Mannelly retires, i would expect Gould to become the ST captain.
Cutler will have offense so long as he is QB here
Same with Peppers on D.
Lach is iffy...depends on how long he has left. Id suspect Briggs to get the Captain badge if Lach is done after this season or next.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

It tells me the players respect Garza as a leader. I like that.

The captains are pretty predicatable, in my opinion.
