Last I checked they are still professionals...
No one seems to even give the colts a second thought, and yes they look to be a 2 win team but this isn't highschool and they are all professionals who are perfectly able of winning the game
So in all seriousness what are some keys and what do you expect. Don't get me wrong i expect a big win but we can't just disregard them
As much as we love the Tampa 2 I would say sitting in it all game is I'll advised
It's a vanilla defense that some pop Warner teams are taught to run (a simple 2 under/over, very similar) and luck has seen it over and over
I'd like to force the rook into some quick decisions (game moves do much faster) and see if we can "welcome" him to the nfl and the windy city
On offense I like trying to jump on me early to force the hand of the colts Into throwing more with the rookie, not letting him "manage the game"
College is a thing of the past for him and I see a kid who has never taken a snap in the big leagues, let's get it

Said it b4 say it again - we win but it's gonna be closer than some expect . I'd do some blitzing when he's not expecting it ( not on typical downs ).
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

Some exotic blitzes and some fast play by the Dline should negate Luck. It's only close if we let them into the game w/turnovers and stupid mistakes.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Didn't we end up playing a lot of Cover 1 last year?

Andrew Luck has looked damn good in pre-season. We better not take this game lightly or we'll start the season 0-1.

agreed, I think Luck will have a better year then Newton did last year and i think Newton was overhyped with FF rather then real stats for being looked upon being good. I see Luck having a great year, we cant keep looking at week 2, we need to concentrate on week 1

First, we need to play well on offense and get out to a lead early. That shifts the pressure to them, and if we then give Luck some looks he hasn't seen before (Like the Mugg we did a few years back) we could really rattle him. Of course, we need to take care of the football.
Closer game than most think, but we should win.

The Bears aren't playing the traditional Cover 2 as much as people say they are these days. Yes Lovie still plays his old school Tampa 2 in long situations and starts a lot of plays with the basic cover 2 look. But most time the defense after the snap will move into cover one or cover three. Late last season they were even lining up in Cover 2 much b/c they were playing with one safety back (remember Steltz playing 20 yards back from the line of scrimmage late last year).
This Sunday against Luck & the Colts they need to disguise their looks as much as possible. Luck isn't your average rook, but I think showing numerous formations before the snap will be the key into possibly making Luck call the wrong audible which they can take advantage of.
I agree with Grizz... they need to stuff the run early and hopefully our offense can get the team up by 2 or 3 scores before half forcing the Colts to put the game in Luck's hands. Then it will be an early test for our DBs before we head to Green Bay.

It is never good to overlook an opponent, but I think sometimes fans place too much emphasis on "taking every opponent seriously". We, on this board, may not be talking about the Indy game much, but do you really think the atmosphere and vibe that comes from us keyboard jockeys equates to what is going on at Halas Hall? I doubt it. No disrespect to anyone here, but I think the vets and coaches who have been in the game for years are making sure the game plan for the Colts is in place. People on this board are merely talking about the GB game more a) because we all hate the packers and are afraid of losing to them no matter the talent level of either team and b) green bay is loaded and the colts are rebuilding. It's just natural to be more interested in Week 2 this season than Week 1.
