I don't think so. I think that ship has sailed. The Bears made a reasonable request and he turned it down so that says to me he'd rather play somewhere else. Now if we lose one more back all bets are off. Then he probably gets a call.

That's the nature of the beat now JJ. The salary cap and roster limitations makes it almost a necessity. In this case it worked out to Booker's advantage that we already had a guy to replace him on the PS. If we'd have had to sign another back I think they may have just released him.

    1. There is a big difference between Urlacher and Booker
    2. He was not cut, he was placed on IR

Ok first off you missed the humor in my statement. You damn right there is a big different between Urlacher and Booker, also as first reported they had cut him and not put him of the IR. Its nice that the Bear put him on the IR and didn't end up cutting him.

Is it IR for the whole season ? I like Booker . He's quicker than shit and he has some big plays in him . Be nice to see him back b4 long so he can help this team.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I expect to see a signing of a OT sooner rather than later.

I love how people think you can magically fill a position, or even find better depth than you have on the PS inside the regular season.

As for dumping Quigley as soon as Podlesh is good to go, I'd prefer not to. I'd like to keep him until we absolutely know Adam's hip is not going to flare back up and even then it's a risky proposition.

Really, what else are we going to do with that 53rd spot? I mean, nothing left is really going to have the same level of impact as the security he provides except maybe a safety that we feel can play in a pinch.

Soul, I was joking, I was pointing out that he turned down a pretty sweet gig, even at less money and now has no job.

Soul says " .... Benji I think Clutts was probably gone no matter what. Tice seems dedicated to Rodriguez as his FB/Hback and that's that. I wish he wasn't so stubborn about the all TEs no FB thing but it is what it is. ...."

I sure didn't see NFL level blocking from Rodriguez out of the backfield. He looked truly awful. Tice cannot be thinking of using him to block much, just as a Hback/TE into the pass pattern with occasional blocks. OR I sure missed something in the preseason OR Rod sure is a quick learner (I'd love either of those to be right).
