It's a tune up game for everyone who needs top knock the rust off and get used to playing 60 minutes rather then 15 or 30 over a week. You dont need to play a team with a similar style in order to be effective for the following week, just getting back into habits that only a game situation can provide.

I guess my point is that it is the 1st regular season game, which means the Bears will have an opportunity to shake off rust, and improve chemistry and timing - so that we are a better team going into Thursday's 2nd game of the season. Pre-season games are very different from actual regular season game reps.
So my only point is that in that sense, it is a tuneup (at least it seems that way to me).

to give this thread a bump. I wonder what people think will be the better 'tune up game' this week, going into next.
On one hand, the Chicago Bears play last year's worst team in the NFL and recipient of the #1 overall pick. They proceed to settle in after starting off quite bad. By the end of the game, the Bears look controlled, settled and solid and they leave with a convincing win.
On the other hand, the Packers face off against the 49ers, the 2nd best team in the 2011 season behind only themselves. A defensive stalwart and upset machine all of last year. built on a dominant running game and air-tight defense (likely the best in the league). The Packers end up losing a close game in which their defense lets them down once again, akin to their entire 2011 season but masked all season long by their all-pro offensive production. However it was inevitably exposed when the games mattered and the Packers are hilariously bounced in round 2 of the playoffs by the Giants.
Who's game will prove to be more beneficial come week 2?

Well ... you can give ur engine a tune up and take it easy on it for a week .... or you can start off going full throttle on the RPM's ...
then maybe you red line and blow ur engine .
;-}
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
