Jennings impressed me...
the others were more like I expected them to play against the Colts. Thursdays game will be different.

Sorry, my bad. Allowing 309yds from a rookie QB on his very first regular season game is unacceptable. ^^

Was it just me or did Indy really have a strong oline?

QB running for his life and throwing early isn't a PLUS for the OL. I think OL run blocking suked and as for the Pass blocking JC helped them out ALOT as for BM. Less concerned about the DL, LB still IS bd OK Safeties OK.. OL an / or run is STILL a concern.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

Except for the first drive, i didnt really notice Jay "running for his life." He had plenty of time to throw and stayed in the pocket most of the time. Granted, we had TE and Forte in to help block, but still.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

True, but you have to keep in mind the circumstances...they did well the first half, then we had a 3 score lead, at which point Luck HAD to keep passing to play catch up, and typical Cover-2 protocol at that point is bend but dont break...they give up the yards, but not the big plays or scores.

I was pleased with the entire team. For a 1st game of the season, I thought it was a solid performance by everyone. I'd give the whole team an "A" including the oline. Yes, even Webb.
Hope they continue to improve with each game, all season long.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Cutler B. The pick six in his own 10 was unacceptable, it was Rexesque. But from that point on he was on fire.
OL B, outside of the first few drives they played solid...of course Freeny went out about that time soooooooooo
WR's A+++++++++++ Everyone was solid, BMarsh made everyone else better, which was expected. Hester is now working shorter routes in space, Bennett is now not getting blanked by the best or 2nd best corner, and Jeffery...what did I tell you guys about this kid....WOW.
TE's B, blocking was okay, but the rec's were eh, Davis you are no Ditka, if this team wants a Ditka they better draft one.
RB's A+ Forte/Bush are a lethal combo. Forte might not be Bush at the goalline, but Bush is no Forte between the 20's either. Did you see how Forte picked up that blitz?
DE, B they didn't get a sack until the 4th when the game was well over. and only had 3 pressures. This is not a great OL we faced. That being said, they eventually did get there. Melton looked solid, WOoton finally made a play, Big Toe got a real hit landing on Luck(had to suck for luck hahahaaa) Paea and McClellin were the only ones not to record a tackle. I expected more out of Paea,
LB's, C Briggs was in on a sack, other then that not a lot there.
DB's A, Jennings, Def player of the game no question about it. Conte also looked good. Tillman going out opened up the game some, Hayden had a few good plays also.
Lovie/DC A both challenges were okay had no issues w/them.
OC B, the OL nor the QB were ready for this game and the first 2 drives showed it. When Freeny went out the whole thing opened up and everything started going more smooth.

I give the secondary an A++
An A+ for their play and an extra + to Wright for not hurting any of our players during the game.

Losers:
- rest of the dline (3 sacks, but Luck still had lots of time to move around)
- Linebackers and the rest of the defense (LBs were non-existent, allowing 21 points against a shitty team like Indy is unacceptable)
- oline (*surprise*)
- Lovie (still doesn't know how to use the challenge flag) *facepalm*
Overall:
Bears win! Cool game, got to see some nice plays but we do have a lot of work to do before next Thursday. If they play like that against Green Bay I'm afraid it's gonna be a blowout.
d line done ok as mentioned by announcers Luck had to move around a lot that's always a good thing. secondly our D only allowed 14, 7 of their points came by INT. linebackers get an F today I understand Lach being a bit ginger on that knee but nothing wrong with Briggs physically he plain out sucked today. I think lovie made a smart call on that challenge when look at replay that ball was much closer to the first down than what the refs said, where Lovie messed up right after was punting, you're up by 20 points near midfield go ahead Lovie put the nail in the coffin already.
