Cutler To Fans: ‘Let’s Tone It Down A Little Bit’ In Red*Zone

    By Adam Hoge-
SOLDIER FIELD (CBS) Jay Cutler has a simple message for Bears fans: Zip it.
As has been a problem for the last few seasons, the Bears offense had trouble communicating when it entered the red zone for the first time Sunday because the fans were making too much noise. That’s not supposed to be a problem for the home team.
“Please, please, please let’s tone it down a little bit when we’re down in the 20,” Cutler said after the game as he delivered a message to the fans. “You’re more than welcome to yell and scream and do whatever you want to do after we score, but please, let’s go ahead and quiet the stadium down and save it for after we score. Thank you. That’s my PSA.”
After Matt Forte gained 15 yards to put the ball at the Colts’ 1-yard line in the first quarter, fans naturally cheered. But then they didn’t stop cheering. As the offense went to huddle, nearly all 11 Bears players on the field were waving their arms in a “quiet-down” motion. It didn’t work and the Bears ended up calling timeout.
Cutler was obviously very frustrated as he went to the sideline. Fortunately, three plays later, running back Michael Bush ran it in for a 1-yard touchdown to tie the game at seven.

Cutler should not have to even say this. If you are smart enough about football to pay to go to these games, then you should know. Hey fans, here's another tip, when our DEFENSE is backed up against the goal line and the OTHER TEAM is trying to score THEN MAKE ALL THE NOISE YOU CAN. But when it's our guys, LET THEM HEAR THEIR OWN QB, THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE PART OF THE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE!

If Packer fans can figure it out, why can't you?! Unfortunately, it does not surprise me. Sorry to my brotheren that actually live in Chicago, but jeez.

Chicago Bears fans consist of mostly Cubs fans, low sport IQ in general; there are exceptions but they are to few in between to make up for the meatheads.

Roar when you need to roar, otherwise stfu. I actually laughed at the sign that Staley held: Quiet please, offense at work or something like that. People should listen to him.. He got a point.

Watching the Saints play yesterday and it was so quiet on Offense that you could actually hear what Breeze was saying when he went to an audible. Come on Bears Fans get it together.

    I am not! I'm a few.

I grew up painting blue #10's on my undershirts. Yes, I too am a Cubs fan. I also know not to grab foul balls when our guy can catch it, and I never scream when the Bears have the ball, even at home, until the play is over.
