Yeah, and I guess that we're all eating a bag of dicks while we're at it. lol

Long, however, may be ready to get out of that zoo down in Miami. The front office and the ownership situation isn't good and who knows how it will go with Philbin coaching but it's kind of a mess there now. He may be an option but a very expensive one.
I'm hoping we can make it work with Webb and if so, like 99 suggests, we can use that first round pick on LB to become Urlacher's heir apparent. We should know later this year whether he has any more years left in him or not but now the handwriting is definitely on the wall.
Despite that need we still need another OT and we need a young CB as well so between the draft and FA Emery will have some other pretty big needs to look for next year.
Sure, Long and Clady are good options, but what about Bushrod? Ever since we read an article out of that one publication a few weeks ago that stated that Bushrod isn't that good of a tackle, we have written him off as a bad apple. How bad can he be -- he did make the Pro Bowl last year, and even though that's voted on by the fans, most of the time, the fans get the right players involved in the voting. I would gladly take Bushrod, Long, or Clady as our LT. If we had either of those three, we'd be set for a very good offensive line.

Well, he didn't mention anything about the pasta bar or where taco night was going to be this week (could of at least given the establishment a chance to roll out the toilet condom before he had his way with it). So I guess that's progress.

We will have to ask BBPB for his reserve. I think he took all he can get.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

I've actually thought a lot about next year's draft and what we do if Webb doesn't play well. The best bet would be to just sign a FA, a smaller learning curve and with our window shrinking, we don't have time to develop one. Bushrod would probably be the guy to get, he won't mortgage our future, could at least hold his own and will likely see FA.
With that said, I've thought a lot about what will happen if Webb does play well. One thing we have to remember is that CW, Chris Spencer, Lance Louis, and Rachel all have expiring contracts after the year. This OL could look very different next year. I would imagine Louis gets resigned but not positive. Continuity is key, if they keep relatively keep the same OL going out there week after week, year after year, then they will continue to grow and play better and better. The OL class is actually pretty deep next year. I believe there are 10 OT as of right now that are considered potential 1st-2nd round picks. IOL is a bit tougher to judge but I think it's about 5(given that only about 1 gets drafted in the 1st each year).
There are a handful of ways this could play out. Hopefully Webb turns out the player they think he can be and Carimi can stay healthy. We can find a starting IOL in the 3rd-4th round which could mean the 1st and 2nd picks to retool the D.
