What is the difference between proactive and reactive JABF99? There is none. Both usually are terms that define what a team does to address a deficiency in the personnel. We were deficient in the area of WR, so what did Emery do? He was both proactive AND reactive and went out and traded for Brandon Marshall and drafted Alshon Jeffery. He signed Michael Bush to come in as a backup for Forte and to run the tough yards in short yardage situations.

Of course. Always true. But you can bet the best DE's, QBs, and LT's are gone before the end of the first round. There always seem to be enough teams with those needs that the very best of those positions never make it much past the middle of the round. Of course there is such a thing as the best RATED player vs. the best (ie Tom Brady). The top rated guys willl be gone, but either luck or a good talend scout can still get someone further down. I think Jeffrey is going to be one of the very best WRs in this draft and we got him in the second.

Oh, I agree. QB, LT, DE are GONE early. But the rest depend on the depth, even the mentioned do too. for the more Qb's, LT's, and DE's the farther the other positions drop. Haven't looked at what there next year in the draftm for I really suck at that. But still, what do the Teams infront of you NEED and the DEPTH do play a part.

Either way, outside of any offensive line pick, we really need to keep adding to the defense, before we go into rebuild mode. Granted, Urlacher being gone is "rebuild mode", but with the Saints signing the Falcons MLB (I forgot his name, but dude was supposed to be up-and-coming), maybe we could get either Vilma or other dude cheap. Of course,I'd be more receptive to a high draft pick on him, but like Dags said, you really can't have too much D-linemen, and they could help lessen the burden on our LBs. Maybe a DT if one is ranked higher?

Te'o, also a Bama backer should be coming out next year. Those are both great players, I'm just not sure about how ready they would be for covering the deep middle in Tampa 2.

I rather have Urlacher 100% than Peanut.. But hopefully they'll both be allright and ready to play again asap.
I think there is no question that we'll go for a MLB in the draft. Unless ofcause there is no FA LT and Webb is playing like air.. Then I might change my opinion.
