Blue, you bring up an interesting point. Davis got to the point where he was actually a pretty serviceable blocker last year. Has he regressed that much in your estimation? I didn't catch the first few minutes of the game because I slept in a little later than I meant to, so I didn't see what all he did wrong other than the hold in the 4th Quarter when Bush had that otherwise marvelous run.
Davis is ok with the normal straight-up run blocking against average players . Matthews isn't an average player so I think in pass protection I'd use the guy with the better feet cuz he's less likely to lunge and miss . I've seen too many Bears lunge and miss vs. Matthews . Running plays - just get 2-3 blockers going his direction and he gets caught up in the wash and is less effective - makes it easier for a RB to just read / react and make his move .
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
