We'll need to keep Benson from having a big day too.

He was sky high running against us the last time (189 yards rushing). He admitted afterwards he was hyped about sticking it to us in that game. He's the kind of runner who gives us problems. He's a lot like Michael Bush in size and power. Between the tackles he can be a headache. San Francisco held him to almost nothing on Sunday, but they have the best rushing defense in the NFL. We've been gashed a bit at times by power runners like Benson.

Obviously Rodgers passing is our #1 threat, but we do need to stop Benson too.

Ya he's a good RB, like him or not, and there is plenty to not like about him b/c of how he acted here, but he's not that same back anymore. He plays bigger then he did while here. And he can truck someone that doesn't tackle him properly.

It's easy to look back against that SF D; but our DL is not that SF DL; and their LB's are really solid to boot.

Exactly. We need to be sound tackling and maintain gap control. Otherwise he is capable of embarrassing us again.

And I'm sure he'll want to even more wearing that uniform .
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

The last time I checked, we held the Colts to 63 yards rushing despite about three big runs from their running back. We accomplished this feat despite the fact that we didn't have Urlacher in there during most of the game. The minute the Packers find that they are going to struggle with running the football, they'll completely abandon the run just like they did against the 49ers. Our linebackers are every bit as good as the 49ers in my opinion, at least based on results. Also, Henry Melton, Amobi Okoye, Stephen Paea, Julius Peppers, Corey Wootten, and Shea McClellin might have something to say about the Packers running the football at will on us. We always have defended a good running attack well, and I don't expect anything less than that in this game.

Just think of it this way, gentlemen: the Packers have something going on in their heads. They haven't played very well in the past several games, including the playoff game against the New York Giants. We have the ability to created pressure in the pocket for Rodgers and, in turn, completely take away the Packers' running attack. They aren't the same team as they were before Week 15 last when they lost to the Chiefs.

It's hard to maintain that level of play week in week out . Ever seen a pro game at ground level ? The hitting on the lines is friggin smashmouth brutal on practically every play . You have to be at ground level to really comprehend it , cuz the further up the seats you go the slower it looks .

TV doesn't do it justice either - doesn't even come close .

Nah, I'd rather take our chances letting Benson beat us. Overall, if we somehow shut down the pass but allowed them to run, it'd be hard for the Bears to **** that up.

Can't agree more that we need to stop Benson... Da Bears just cannot allow them to establish a run threat. Rodgers is LETHAL off of play action. We need to stuff Benson or keep him in check for just a couple of yards. The defense has to keep the Packers' 3rd down and distance to around 8 yards to where rushing won't cut it and they become one dimension with the pass.

The sounds they make at that level are animal sounds too. The line play is almost like a form of martial arts between 300+ pound men. And nowadays these guys are not (usually) fat people, but world-class athletes who are beating the snott out of each other. Brutal. Brutal sounding too.

Benson is not a pass blocker or a receiving threat. He is limited to what he can do. Not worried about him. A sportswriter said he'll get what the Packers can block for him, and I agree with that.
