Srsly, how is Cutler not the leader of the team? Did we all forget him dragging the offense along in '10, just to have a couple of end zone drops and an injured knee take him out? Last year, he said he wants 6'2 wr's, wtf did he get? They know he is our key to success. Personally don't care what the other players say, because, unless the packers game blinded you, he IS the leader, and had us at many 30+ games last year. These conversations are here for idle times. Either the offense will work with a smarter strategy, or Cutler is right, and they are only as good as the line lets them be.

If that in-house criticism continues, dj is gone along with the coaching staff. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if dj sits a few games coming up.

If Lovie doesn't deal with this today, it will spread like a locker room cancer. Players will take sides. Some for Cutler, some against him. Nothing good comes of that. Everyone loses - especially the fans when the season tanks do to division.
Cutler HAS to grow up and be a leader. He needs to THINK before he does some of these stupid things that hurt the team. It is immaturity that will kill his career - not a lack of talent. A lack of maturity.

I'm not even gonna get into this mess beyond this article. It says it all. If you're paid to block then God damn it block. Don't come off the field laughing about how both you and your QB just got your asses handed to you right after you were told to keep him clear.
If this was the first time this had happened then I might say yeah, Cutler was wrong, but this the beginning of year four without giving him adequate protection and the second year in a row that he's had to put up with that stupid oaf for a LT. Jeezus when does it end? He's the best QB this town has seen since the days of Sid Luckman so get him some blockers or at the very least get somebody on the coaching staff to either get the kid doing is job or bench his ass.
D.J Moore needs to keep his trap shut. He's far more replaceable that Jay Cutler. I love the way the kid plays but he opens his trap way too often. If he keeps doing it he'll be the next guy to find out just how hard it is to get out of Lovie's dog house once you're in it.
This ain't a moon shot we're talking about here. Tice needs to make a decision. Either lose Webb or lose Cutler.
Jay Cutler’s antics aren’t among Bears’ problems

Here should have been the list of concerns at Halas Hall over the weekend:
No. 1: Linebacker Brian Urlacher playing old, soft and slow, almost looking tentative with a knee injury. (Don't agree with this at all)
No. 2: The offensive line, which needs help from tight ends and running backs to block. (No question about this one)
No. 3: Play calling.(Most of the night I thought Martz was still calling plays)
Nowhere on that list is quarterback Jay Cutler dressing down left tackle J’Marcus Webb on the sideline in the 23-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. Cutler told Webb to “get your [bleeping] head into the game,” then bumped him with his shoulder for emphasis.
Yet, the public began another “Exploring Jay Cutler’s Psyche and Body Language’’ therapy session, which has taken place ever since he was acquired from the Denver Broncos before the 2009 season.
◆ ◆ ◆
“Hey, hey, quit calling the [bleeping] plays! When I call pass block, block! We’ll run the ball, but when I [bleeping] call pass block, block!”
That gem was from the lovable Peyton Manning to center Jeff Saturday in 2005 during a game.
“You got to start to fight! Or are you just going to lay down? Fight!” That was Tom Brady to his offensive line two seasons ago.
So now “get your [bleeping] head into the game” is the breaking point for a fan base? (Making a big deal out of this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen come out of Bears fans. I'm disappointed and disgusted)
There’s still some romantic idea that an NFL quarterback is supposed to be a square-jawed hero, loved by his teammates as he gently pats them on the rear after a bad play, telling them, “It’s OK, big guy, I don’t mind Clay Matthews driving my tailbone into the grass every play.”
Cutler isn’t always a likeable guy. Not by the media, and definitely not by groups of players in his own locker room.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
Is Brady loved by all of his teammates? Was it well-received after a heart-breaking loss to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl that his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, was caught on camera saying, “You need to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot [bleeping] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time?”

If anyone is looking for an apology from Cutler, look elsewhere. “If they want a quarterback that doesn’t care, get somebody else,” Cutler said.
There’s the rub. The Bears can’t. (Yep, there it is. So for all of you who want his scalp for what he did you might want to think about getting your head out of your ass. If you really think defending a 7th round OT who still hasn't proven he's up to playing in the NFL over your franchise QB is being smart then go right ahead. Personally I think you're an idiot if you do)
Cutler is the most talented quarterback the franchise has had in decades. Any chance of holding a Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season rests on him being upright.
If Webb, Gabe Carimi or whoever can’t protect, they are replaceable. A franchise quarterback isn’t.
That doesn’t mean Cutler was solid in the loss to the Packers. He made terrible decisions and had awful throwing mechanics. (That tends to happen when you get sacked 7 times and knocked down how may more and are under intense pressure all game long. Most QB have that same problem)
“We thought it was kind of funny that all of a sudden they’re the team to beat because they’ve got a couple new guys,” Packers Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Woodson said. He also told ESPN, “It’s the same old Jay,’’ when asked about Cutler’s four interceptions. (Just one more guy who needs to keep his mouth shut. I pin this up as bulletin board material for the next game and make him eat his words)
It is the same old Jay. In his seventh year in the league, he’s not going to change. (Neither did Favre but he won some games for you didn't he and he's going to he HOF)
Certain Bears players have no choice but to embrace that. Or, even better, block for him.
So there you have it. Who do you want to back? Do you all want to be fans or BBPB and back the soon to be an All Pro J'Marcus Webb or do you want to back the only guy on this team who can give you a "Chinaman's Chance" of ever getting to a SB.
If you want to back Webb then why don't we see of we can train him to throw a football. I guess if he can't block maybe he can throw and I guess a 6'8" 335lb QB would be a little tough to bring down.
Sayo fuckin' nara!

If Cutler is not the QB to lead the Bears to a Championship then Lovie is certainly not the HC to lead Chicago to victory.

Henry, I totally agree about the oline. I'm as angry as anyone about this. I just believe that there are better ways to handle your frustration if you are the team leader. Nothing good comes from dividing a locker room. It's a cancer.
This can be a season-killer. And if Cutler doesn't get a better grip on his emotions, it could define his career - for the worst.
Having raw physical talent like Cutler, doesn't make him a great QB. Leadership requires maturity, and THINKING before you make a complete ASS out of yourself on a NATIONAL level. A smart QB would have checked his emotions here before he hurt his team and divided his locker room.
I'm a big Cutler fan, but I'm angry that he was this stupid.

But but Cutler is mean, he way over did it when he almost knocked Webb to the ground with his shoulder bump. Its different than Tom Brady or Peyton Manning because they did not knocked Webb on his a** like Clay Matthews did to Cutler.

Well the article on how poorly jay performs versus teams with winning records should be disturbing to lovie as another losing season will fuel da fires for his departure.giving up says it all as that was a game they could and should have been won.the lack of the ability to adapt to and counter act what the other team is disturbing.as brian quoted maybe we aren't that good.well the packer game high lighted that and really is a big question as to why the bears didn't try to get jeff fischer.jim h has the 49ner team clicking on all phases while the bears are stuck in neutral.
