It's a JOKE. My kids tell me "you're not funny dad" so maybe they're right. No, I'm not equating anything of the kind.
Man, folks around here are pretty "testy" after the big loss.

I think one thing is clear. If Emery doesn't fix the oline this off season, the pitchforks, tar and feathers will come out pretty quick.
Do you think Lovie is feeling any heat at all? Or is he blissfully unaware of how angry fans are right now?

99, sorry if I came across too sternly. I for one, am just sick of all the media Cutler hate, not to mention all these "past players" opinions, whether it's this, or deriding him for his knee injury in the NFCCG. I am also sick of the Bears trotting out the same CRAP for a line and expect ANY QB to survive behind it. Then blame the QB for trying to get them to play better? To me, it's just ludicrous. I have known many, MANY great leaders, be they NCO's or Officers in the Army, Corporate leaders, coaches, etc. that occasionally have to scream their point to let people know they are serious. And yes, I've seen officers dress down Jr. Officers or NCO's in front of formation, mostly because they needed it and deserved it. Leadership is not always calm and reserved and behind closed doors. Depending on the person being repremanded, sometimes in needs to be in full view for full effect. We all have our own opinions, but Lovies style is not always the most effective. Sometimes a little Ditkaesgue demeanor can be effective.

A persistent voice underlying all of this is that Cutler should have taken the 'professional' high road and waited until after the game, in the privacy of a lockerroom, to vent his frustration with Webb.
They're attempting to stand on moral high ground with this. But the problem was the game wasn't waiting, so Cutler didn't want to, either. Why should he? So he could appear to be a professional? Hmm. Seems to me, a professional would want to win -then and there- and if getting in someone's grill during the game might help during the game...
Someone needed to grab Webb's facemask (figuratively). Cutler took the initiative.

4dabears, Wolf in one of these threads that got merged pointed out that Rodgers has been sacked .4 x's per game LESS then Cutler, and he has NEVER acted like this(if the stat is slightly off forgive i'm too tired to re find it). Cutler is not the only qb to be behind a sub par OL in his career, or even lately, but he is the only one to act like that's why he throws picks. Gotta stop making excuses for his shitty attitudde.
again, he's a great athlete, and I'm thrilled he's the qb for the Bears, but his attitute blows, this incident it appears he went to far; and people w/SB rings have said it, people in the locker room have said it, and according to at least one beat guy, some people in the Bears F/O think it to the point that it was said it WILL be delt with. Reality is that whatever WE think, most are(myself included) are either over blowing this, or completely glossing over it...but the Bears are taking steps to correct it, so that does tell you how THEY think it's at least a potential problem.

Still don't see a problem with it. The bumping wasn't needed, but yelling at him was. Maybe Webb finally realizes what he has to do and what not. He is the worst LT in the NFL since he started there last year.
staying quite and practice maybe wasn't what Webb needed (or needs). Guy sucks and can't block. Why they only take out Spencer is beyond my understanding. Right side wasn't much of a problem. Webb paired with Spencer was. Won't get better with Rachal.
Last year before his injury we started with all of this shit about Cutty. Everybody seemed to start to like him and respect him and how he won us games. During the offseason, those same media guys picked us over the Lions and some over the Packers saying how good we are and that we were good without WRs and they praised Cutler. Now after one game when they all saw how bad Webb IS and was, it's Cutler sucks again
He said "tell Martz fuck you" but hey, he won the games after that and won this game. That was OK?
also we should not forget that Cutler said that this season will go as the OL goes - before the season even started. As of now he is right
And that is the exact time when you need your quarterback — your leader — to act like a pro, make a play and bring you back.
So, where ya at, Jay? This team needs you.
It wasn't Cutlers fault that Marshall droped the pass - a pass I consider "make a play"
It wasn't Cutlers fualt that Hester droped an easy first down that we needed so much at that time
"In every game in every sport, there's always somebody who has a tough day.
this is true, this is why nobody blames Marshall or Hester for their drops.
With Webb, it always seems to be the other way around. He fucking sucks and every 7th game he plays like a NFL player
