Chicago Bears Let's chill out on the loss last night

Yeah, it reaffirmed some of the negatives one could take from the Colts game (the line, Cutler staring down receivers), but keep in mind that it's just the 2nd game of the year, and no one got seriously hurt (yeah forte got injured, but he won't be out long). The Bears also have more time than their next opponent to get rested up and prepared for their game. Obviously there are bigger problems on offense than defense, per usual, but as badly as they played, if it weren't for a trick play and some really bad calls by the refs early in the game, we still would've had a chance to win that thing. Bush showed that if we're without Forte for a while, we still have someone who can step in and do a damn good job. Our d-line also showed up, with Peppers, Melton and McClellan each got at least one sack. So, let's just try to be patient, see what they did to change things up against the Rams, and get ready for another serious challenge in Dallas. 1-1 isn't bad, hell, we've hit 1-3 and still played competitively. This is not the end of times.

The next big test is Dallas. St Louis shouldnt be a gimme, but if the Bears play how they should, then it will be a comfy win.

Bigger and real problem is that he ALWAYS plays like this against the Packers, how can we beat them if he always sucks balls against them?

Also what kind of arrogance from the coaching staff to NOT take that SF blueprint to beat that team and look at it, then shred it and say F this I'm going deep?

Speaking on coaching; Lovie Dovie is 13 and 42 when trailing at 1/2, 51-10 when trailing(ZZ just said something like this on 670, might be a bit off on the #'s but you get the idea). Lovie and his staff never adjust at 1/2 and those two win/loss totals tell you that story loudly and clearly

The entire "O" failed and even our ST got burned. Plenty of blame to go around. We'll see how they respond to this failure down the road. It's only the second game.

Dallas is set up just like GB though, sans the pro bowl cb. They pass rush and chuck the ball around w/a solid run game to support it.

    1) It was ugly, but the pack had several breaks go their way. and it wasn't as bad as some of the blowouts we've suffered the last few years. Not saying it's good, but that game could've been turned around even early in the 4th. I doubt the refs make THAT bad of calls again, we stick to the pass and play action (when it does the opposite of it's reason for use -- buy the QBtime) at an absurdly higher level over the run, but I do worry Marshall's drops may continue when they're not needed

    2) Remember that the Lions had a horrible game against the Rams? If we win, write it off as Stafford having a bad day, too.

    3) The cowboys don't have pro bowl CBs, but they got a highly sought after FA in Brandon Carr and a high draft pick in Morris Claiborne

    4) let's wait and see how they respond to Webb's attitude and play, as well as Forte's injury, to get some kind of a gauge of how things are going to be run this year.

    5) again, even with the offense out of sync, the Bears still could've won this game.

Webbs attitude and play? He did exactly what you expect him to do; suck. Why didn't Tice have a TE over there EVERY PLAY! The attitude/play you have to worry about is Jay George.

The Packers defense played well but we beat ourselves as much as anything. Twelve men on the field gives them 3 pts. Fake punt gives them 7. Personal foul on Carimi kills our best drive in the 1st half. Briggs dropped INT gives them 3 pts. Dropped TD (not the best pass but should've been caught) by Marshall. Cutler INT (which looked like it hit the ground) gives them up for 7.
    Go Bears!
