Holmes reports that Cutlers verbal tirade and physicalness w/Webb is sure to be dealt with. It's not all Rose Soul, that game last night was not all on the OL and coaches. Cutler had a shit game, and has had far to many in Lambaugh for some of the blame not to be laid on his feet.

I disagree, I think he has a lot of Jeff George in him when he gets hit early. He loses all poise, and just starts chucking it. George's problem was his attitude, not his talent, not his knowledge of the game. You saw it last night, they hit him early and often and from then on even when he had time he stared down one guy and then launched it, rarely w/good mechanics. Woodson even said that is their MO on him, get his pissed, make him lose his poise, and he starts turning the ball over. He said it, it's not imaginary and you cannot deny it.

For Cutler to go from being a really good/near elite qb, to an elite qb he doesn't have to work on his game, he has to work on his composure and poise under pressure.
I read that entire article and couldn't find a thing to disagree with, Ric. It was spot on and fair in distributing criticism to where it properly belonged. The only thing I might add was that the WRs didn't distinguish themselves either but that pales in comparison to the "epic fail" that was the OL, the QB, and the coaching staff.

I think as a complete unit we didn't play up to par, Did Jay overreact? Maybe a little, but too many things went wrong to crucify him only, Rodgers flipped out just like Jay did whether or not he had a better reason to he still did nonetheless! Our OL definitely needs to be addressed, every play looked the same, i started to expect Jay to be sacked every down as the game went on unfortunately, let's just not hang our heads on this game, I'd rather this debacle take place now rather later on in the season!!

I actually saw him go up to B Marsh after his drop in the end zone and pat him on the back and say that he'll get another chance. Its just that later in the game he was not doing well.

Yeahhh, I'm going to call bullshit on ragging Cutty for jumping in JWebb's shit. Y'know what, enough's enough. How long have we, the media, Cutler... THE FRIGGIN' OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR been complaining about Webb? People are doing way more than expected to give this clown of an left tackle every freakin' opportunity to prove some reasonable skill and technique. But game after game, week after week, season after season, he has yet to progress, to show anything other than a lack of pass protection ability and a possible case of exophthalmos.

If I was in Cutler's shoes, I wouldn't have given a FF where I was, or if it was being televised. Yeah, I'm the QB. Yeah I'm having a shit game, yeah the play calling is shit. But y'know what, I'm tired of looking over and seeing this clown absolutely baffled by rushers, play after play and knowing the front office is still going to give him a break. F*** this, he's getting an ear-full.

disagree, Rodgers went off b/c the WR cut off a route, and then that was that. Jay dog cussed Webb on the sidelines, then shouldered him as he walked away, it's one thing for a QB to yell at a WR after making a crucial mistake, it's another to show him up like that, and it's another to throw him under the buss after the game in the press conference.

I have one thing to say about this whole tirade and shove everyone is talking about Is JWebb the one getting clobbered by 200+ pound defensive players? No. It's Jay Cutler. He's the one getting punished for Webb's shitty play. He has every damn right to go after Webb. One of those hits could of ended his night or his season. Glad they didn't though.

Spot on. Even tho it might not be sportsmanship to yell at other teammates, you gotta let them know. Webb have been giving so many chances and if nobody have had to balls to tell him to man up and do is work probberly I'm glad Cutty did it. The hell if I were in a situation like Cutty I'd have yelled at something aswell. Even tho he played shit himself I still belive the main reason why we lost were bacause of the oline.

It's a gray zone really. On one hand you wanna keep up the team spirit but on the otherhand the yelling might end up hurt you more than it will benefit.
As I said before I hope this is a one night stand and we'll get some pixie dust at the oline. If Cutty feel comfortable in the pocket, I have no other reason to think that he'll play better than he did, even if it was Packers.

That's my two cents in this case.
    Oderint dum metuant.

I mean, maybe Webb gets his head in the game from now on, actually starts to have to work for his paycheck and starts doing okay on the road. Still wanting a larger sample size of this season, I firmly believe LT will be an issue addressed sometime in the offseason.

if anyone follows webbs tweets you know he doesnt take shit seriously. The bum pos was laughing everything off cause he knows his daddy tice will protect the bum. Webb was a bum from day one and has not improved a single bit. But because he is big people make excuses for him. If his name was Omyale people would want him cut immediately. No difference between the two.

    bottom line webb=q mitchel 2.0

According to you, you condone every act that Cutler has done since he's been in Chicago, particularly with regards to how he treats players.
When did ever say that? All he said was Cutler isn't Jeff George. You are reaching.

He's done some very nice things, granted, but his behavior with regards to his coaches and his teammates are inexcusable.
That is certainly one point of view, however you must realize that a large percentage of folks (Bears fans and others) think the opposite.

I don't know what boneheaded thought processes are out there, but apparently you happen to be one of the people who thinks embarrassing people in the media and on national television is kosher.
Again, where in this thread did he say that? He just doesn't agree that Cuter=George.

IT'S POOR ETHICS, that's what it is!
Sports are filled with examples of players being called out by other players and coaches. In fact, Ditka made a regular practice of it. I'm not saying it's either right or wrong, just that it isn't uncommon.

Just because Cutler is a cry baby and a prima donna, it doesn't excuse him from treating people with respect.
Interesting statement, let me paraphrase. "Just because someone acts immaturely, doesn't excuse them from acting maturely". OK, but a bit of a duh statement, provided you agree with the premise.

He should be thankful that Webb didn't deck his ass for being the smug, arrogant son of a bitch he is.
Yep, pretty ballsy. He is lucky Webb didn't shove back, but let's not fool ourselves for one second that Webb would have gotten more than a shove in before the two were broken up. And....let's not fool ourselves to think that Webb would have been starting anymore if he had shoved him back.
See above. Don't turn a difference of opinion into a personal matter, especially with one of your best friends on the site.
