Does Gordon have a shot? I only root for him because everyone here hates him. lol
Go Bears!

I watch NFL. The time you guys start the noon game is 7:00 in the evening over here. Anyway as I said I watch one of the early games, and even if it's the Packers I'll watch it. The boardcaster are brilliant. Loads of humour and really good knowlegde of the game. And and.. Shhhh cheerleaders.. The best thing tho is that they only have commercials breaks doing the quarters. So that leaves plenty of time to answer questions for the viewers, highlight from last week, quiz and so on. And that's really what I hate about the NFL all the bloody commercial breaks.
The hell even if it's Bears playing insted of turning on my PC I watch their game and then watch the Bears game in the morning or after the noon game.
NASCAR.. pffft...
It's all about F1.. oh yea baby. I really don't get the fun of driving around in a oval circle.

F1 is more about the engine and NASCAR is more about the driver. NASCAR goes to great lengths to level the engine/aerodynamics/tires/brakes capabilities, so the sport is truly a sport and less of a science.
Ever wonder why so many F1/Indy drivers come to NASCAR, yet none go the other way?
Winston Churchill:
"Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak."
"If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain."
Well F1 is about engine, but even if it it's it's also about the driver. Look at Alonso, he is number 1 right now, yet he does not have the best car. McLaren would be that team imo.
The reason I don't like NASCAR is the fact they just go round and round and round. Theres no scarp corners, and such things.
I have no clue, and I didn't knew many F1/Indy drivers joined the NASCAR after they stopped F1/Indy.

Not all NASCAR tracks are ovals. Most are, but not all. There are a few road courses.
It's just a different animal than F1, much like baseball is different than cricket, though they share many attributes.

Juan Pablo Montoya is a former F1 Champ who runs NASCAR today. But yeah...outside of that, most former F1 drivers who switch dont last long.
And what BearStuff said...they are simply different sports, i respect both, and am a fan of both (dont get to watch much F1 though).
The main appeal about NASCAR isnt their technical prowess navigating hairpin turns in the most technologically advanced pieces of machinery on the pavement like F1, no NASCAR's appeal is the "anything can happen at any given moment" type of excitement. Comparing them is precision vs chaos. F1 fans expect precision...drivers running the correct lines to be the fastest with the best equipment possible, whereas NASCAR fans expect chaos to ensue where any driver can win on "any given sunday."
Best analogy i can give is music: F1 is like a classical overture from Mozart where every note is specific and has to be hit with the right tempo at the right time at the right volume to create a beautiful piece of music. NASCAR is like jazz music..you can start out following a piece of music, but it can deviate into a freestyle solo that might sound a bit odd at first but is still an amazing listening experience all the same.
