    Chicago Bears Ditka Tree

You hear about Walsh, Holmgren, Blowmechunks ( Belichick), you can always add more to the list as you go back farther. What about the Ditka tree? You hear how he was a bad players coach, but was he? 5 coaches now in the NFL, held HEAD coaching positions. He's coached. 12.5% of the league is Ditka tree 4 Head coaches by 32 teams, this year. Not sure of assit., or position coaches. Was he too hard on players?

    Harbaugh remind anyone of someone?

OK I'm bored on a Sunday with no Bears game.

Coaching tree usually implies assistant coaches under a head coach who go on to have successful HC careers, not former players who do...and everyone listed in that list is a former player under Ditka, not a coach.
    I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

Well you bolstered my cause, cause I guess none have learned anything, nor has any player under their head coach, ever learned anything from their old coach. Even if they do credit their former coach.Seems a few players chose to continue in the footsteps of an old coach. I ask you are there anymore former player from a head coach head coaching in the league now?

Probably not. I was merely drawing a distinction in what a "coaching tree" is, which this is not.

In any case, it seems to me that this piece was written just to circle jerk Jim Harbaugh.

Trust me , it's between the 49er's and Miami has MY most hated team, besides GB of course. Just wanted to point out Ditka's influence, as of the past month Ditka's WAYS have been frowned upon. Why not props to him for having former players put in as HC and praise him for being the coach he was.

Not alot to go with there, other than Ryan. Of course most of Ditka's staff had careers before that team.

I'd like to think that a Ditka Tree answers "YES" when asked "does money grow on a tree?"
