I think we can still live with this and be ok cause we did it last season. Just need a real game plan that fits reality of the roster
I agree we can "dumb down" the offense. But today I was thinking "how far do you dumb it down" before it's not much more than Cutler taking "kneel downs" and you cut your own throat that way?
What good is it to have great down field threats & good RB's if you can't use them effectively to win games?
It's like having a beautiful sports car, but driving it 5 miles per hour on flat tires. We have flat tires on our oline right now - and one that is losing air fast (Garza) - and one tire that MIGHT be decent (Carimi).

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

It was far easier to dumb up the Offense with the WR we had last year it will be harder this year because we have WR that know how to run routes.

we did pretty good putting points on the board with a dumb down offense and bad weapons so I see no reason why it wont work now

I would agree with that Motown, but the oline looks even worse than last year. How THAT happened I do not understand. Maybe switching players around to different positions - and removing C.Will from LG caused it.
p.s. Maybe Tice ran out of pixie dust for this season

Agree with everything you wrote.
The right side looks promising (frankly, the best player on the whole OL this young season has been LOUIS thus far). Carimi is coming along, he's only 3.5 games into his career so give him a long leash.
Garza hasn't looked good yet and he's aging. I'm all for drafting an OC ~ round 2 next year. Someone equivalent to what Wisniewski or Konz were in the last 2 drafts.
An LT "fix" is going to require a major trade or FA signing unless the upcoming draft class is way deeper in stud LTs than is usual.
Gameplanning & playcalling MUST account for the defieciencies we know we have this year. That's on Tice. No more Martz-lite efforts like we saw last week.

Good points. There is something to build with next year. Take the best that we have now, and add at least 2 key additions next year. I do believe we can do better with this existing group, this year too (with play calling and giving Webb maximum help).

I think the best sign for the offensive line is that no one has heard Lance Louis' name this season, save the early game introductions. Hell, I forgot who was playing RG, and that's a shocker for me.

I never thought of it, but that's a great point.

Trade Cutler!!! He is a sissy and personifies the pussification of America! He is a proven coward and Webb should have knocked him the f out! I love the Bears, but I despise this clown. He is an embarrassment! We will never win with him and his obama entitlement attitude. Arrogant piece of shit!
