Garza was bad too.
From Garza to the LT we struggled. And Carimi's retaliation penalty hurt a lot too.

I hope Garza can bounce back at least somewhat. Last thing we need is a repeat of the C getting repeatedly knocked on his can.
I don't even want to think how bad Garza would have to slide for Tice to do something. I hope it's just a slump.
This OL needed a complete overhaul for years, and they've been doing nothing but bandaiding it since the SB. LT weak, LG was a bad C a decent RG and now a bad LG, C was a decent LG and now a below average C, RG is okay and has potential and RT is okay and has potential.
The majority of this line is average at best w/little to no room to improve(besides Louis and Carimi). That is not a winning formula in the NFL. It doesn't help when your QB has a penchant for turning the ball over which greatly increases into a bad habit when pressured.
Hopefully some of these young backups can make a statement next year(Brown, EWilliams) and we can snag an FA and a good 1st round prospect to solidfy/deepen the OL.

Why do the Bears always wait until we are in full-blown crisis mode, before they take care of a problem? There should have been, at least an average oline in place when Cutler arrived from Denver. There should have been, at least average WR's here too. Then, over time you can upgrade a position or two to be better than average.
Cutler would have shined day-1 in that setting.
But now, here we are, we finally have a good QB and WR's, but we may be NFC-N bottom feeding again, due to the chronic oline issue. Nothing new here. The fans have been screaming for YEARS for the Bears to address the oline problems. But no joy. We drafted swimming pool jumpers, midget RB's, and duds. Even when we DID try to draft a higher-round olineman, we drafted poorly.
Oh well. Bears and Cubs. Gotta love 'em.
Biggs stated on 670 the score said at least 3 sacks in GB were coverage sacks and JC needed to get rid of the ball. That being said, Webb is on a short leash and if he doesn't play better he can be benched for Scott.
I've been watching the game these past two nights, trying to objectively understand what happened. B.Marsh was covered, and sometimes the #2 was covered also, but the 3rd read was a wide open receiver/TE/RB. But without an oline, Cutler couldn't make the 3rd read.
It's the oline.
Wait, I know I'm late to this part of the thread, but let me get this straight. Aaron Rodgers goes ballistic on one of his WRs because of a one time mental error that simply resulted in an incomplete pass, but since he has a Superbowl ring, it's ok. However, Jay Cutler goes ballistic on Webb because he continues to draw drive killing penalties, and repeatedly gets beat by defenders which results in Jay being violently hit and risking his ability to continue to play, butt that's a violation of the imaginary leadership standards of Terry Bradshaw, Chicago sports media, and many Bear fans that are too stupid to remain quiet when the offense is operating in the red zone. Am I in some kind of bizzaro world or something?
LOL Still got the JC HARD ON. So JC is just suppose to accept the fact that hisOL can't block, yet has to equal AR, whos OL SOMETIMES breaks down, as to JC 90% of the times does. JC is also to equal AR in numbers and anything else you CHOSE to USE, REALLY. The Game I saw I'd glady exchange what each QB receive from the D for the other. I think JC would have performed better and AR would have yell a few more time, but hey, thats me, a Bears fan.
EDIT Look JC is the QB this year , you hate him, just come back when the Bears have a QB you like. This is OUR team us Bears fan have been give this year, YOUR welcome to go root for any other team.
