If we had Cutler instead of Rex in 06 we would all be sporting superbowl championship gear. I don't hate Rex, but I am more ambivalent. It took a long time for me to get on the Cutler bandwagon, and I am not ready to get off. (no dirty jokes here, get your mind out of the gutter!) I am hoping the Bears get it together on the front line, a lot like they did last year after debacles in NY and N'arlins. (just without getting the QB injured 7 games in)

No dirty joke here
but I'm on the Cutler bandwagon for the long haul too. I'm not going to put him on a pedestal saying he's perfect. But I think he makes our team much better, being here. Emery has fixed everything but the oline on offense. We're "almost there" in having a team that can not only GET to a Super Bowl - but also WIN one.
I do believe this oline will get a bit better this year. It's just my gut feeling. And next year the sky's the limit once Emery takes on the task of getting a couple of rock-solid players added to that line.
That's the key.

Cutler had a good time last year... while the Line gave him protection. He didn't throw many picks during this time and he delivered to a bad WR corps

I was thinking the same thing, Cutler did remind me of Grossman in clutch games. And when every we play GB its a clutch game. But like i was saying yesterday, I like the fact that our QB has fire but he needs to redirect it. Instead of being upset wit his Oline he need to get pissed at the opposing team and take it out on them by being more accurate and making big play happen. If he's focused on yelling at his Oline he aint focused on the game. Let's see which Cutler will show up tomorrow

Cutler is shellshocked because he has pretty much the worst protection in the league. I remember Aaron Rodgers struggling his first year he started at QB and he struggled alot with he had no OL. In chicago we tar and feather our qb who has struggled while taking a beating over the last couple of year of not having an OL.

what drives me nuts is why we are not rolling JC out to remove that issue. Hey left side cannot hold up, lets just do 3 step drops and release all the time. That over simplification of the situation is laughable. You have to keep the D from t'ing off at one area; you can either do that w/great line play, and if not w/that then you have to do it w/roll outs, runs and screens to force the DL to slow down and think about why they are getting to the QB so quickly.
The key with Rodgers and Rothlessburger is that both of those players have had a way better supporting cast and better HC than Jay has had in Chicago.
