I'm just glad we have solid depth at RB. Emery did a great job assuring that the team is rock-solid at RB.
Regarding the injury to Forte, since we DO have great depth, why not let the guy heal & come back at 100%. We have the luxury to do that now, because of our excellent depth. Definitely a "positive" for this season.

Yes but even without depth about 2-3 years ago Forte would have shrugged this off, you gotta admit this one. I mean i remember when he hurt his hammy and still played like all season with it and still racked up 900 yards. Im sorry but he got his pay day and is enjoying the vaca

What sort of "proof" is there to justify that? Did he also really lay it on thick with the injury Derrick Johnson gave him last year, to get this contract?

One good thing (really good thing) is that Forte's career with us should be better, since we have the depth and no longer have to rely on him to play with injuries. He's been a "high mileage" running back so far, and we don't want to wear him out prematurely. I'm excited that with this present setup with Bush, we will see BOTH Bush and Forte perform better, and have longer careers.
I just love having both these guys. It's like a double-barrel shotgun. Give defenses one barrel, then blast 'em with the other. Pretty cool

he seems to be at the moment, i hate to say it but we should have traded forte off to someone and make the picks up for Marshall and picked up another complimentary back to Bush and started Bush. I knew Forte would pull some BS like this, just saying

Forte was not trade bate. why would anyone trade for him when he's a FA or FT player and neither can be traded.
What in his history makes you think he would fake an injury? Nothing, that's nothing but hate b/c he dared hold out for the money he well deserved. Players are going to get inj and miss a game or two occassionally.
Did you feel the same about JC when he left that NFCCG 2 years ago?
Just be thankfull we got guys behind him that can handle the ball.

JJ, I have no problem w/you disagreeing w/me either. It's what the boards are for..it would be no fun if we all just high fived and agreed with eachother.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, no matter if you agree or disagree if we were in a bar I'd have no problem sharing a beer w/anyone on this board.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
