If getting a franchise QB is the most difficult position to fill...

Or is it another position? What is hardest to find and sign after the franchise QB position?

It seems like good running backs are pretty easy to pick up.

Depends on the system really. If good backs are easy to find? Why did GB go get Benson?

thats funny cause it seems many teams dont have a problem getting oline all over the draft and a few examples are Bills, Giants, and Saints to name a few

Nobody will agree with me on this, but I think GB made a solid move by getting Benson. While he didn't work out for us, he's become a solid RB. He's averaged 1,150 yards a season the last three years. He sure hurt us last Thursday.

They picked him up for peanuts. $800k. Chump change.

i hate to say this but i agree, i thought Benson would have made something happen for us. But go figure you put him on our rival teams roster and all of a sudden he decides to show up....

Motown, I think drafting reasonably good interior linemen is easy. Getting a solid RT is a bit more difficult. And getting a solid LT is about as hard as singing a franchise QB. The skill set and physical attributes needed are not easy to find. If it's a FA, better bring a boatload of money. If it's a drafted player, better have a top-10 pick (and even then it's not automatic that you'll land a solid LT).

A lot like getting a franchise QB. Tough.

After the QB (which I agree with) this is my fandumb view:

    2.) Corner Back
    3.) Left Tackle
    4.) Defensive End
    5.) Linebacker
    6.) Running back

After that I guess it is more about the player, how far ahead of the class they are. Tightends might be the position on the rise in the game, but it is not like you see them taken as top five players often.

It also depends on what kind of running back... All purpose backs are highly sought. Scat and full back types are much easier to find, if you are willing to tip your hand with personnel changes you can get better quality and security with a committee. Personally, I like to see to see the same guy out there.

Linebackers... Well, it seems like there is no question that Rushing types fall first, however, like RB's to get someone that can captain the ship @ MLB you will have to select early or get lucky.

I had such high hopes for Benson when we picked him up. I am like the Bronco fans with Cutler, I am the jilted boyfriend, left for another, holding my **** in my hand with blue balls, while the ex is out dancing and having a good time. ugh.
