B) Our receivers have had butterfingers 2 weeks in a row. Hester in particular looks like he couldn't catch a cold in a daycare center out there.
C) Cutler has sucked. Sorry but Rodgers had WORSE pass pro yesterday than JC did in any game this year but still hit the short stuff and kept picks to a minimum. Cutler must play better.
Establish the run, WRs need to catch the ball, and Cutler has to elevate his game considerably...that's what the O needs.
That's a good synopsis of the first 3 games. Thankfully we can fix a lot of what is wrong, and we're still at 2-1 and tied with the Vikings for 1st place. It could have been a heck of a lot worse at this point.

2-1 Is nothing compared to the rest of the games the Bears have to face. In the long run. As Bears have to become a clutch team. And need Matt Forte healthy and back.

Heck, I'll go further than that, JABF. We are in EXCELLENT SHAPE if we can just clean up the O and get the passing game going again. It has looked the last 2 weeks like our receivers forgot how to catch and our QB couldn't hit the side of a barn. I'm really hoping that's just a hiccup and we start scoring again.
The D is playing great. Way better than any of us expected, especially
with Urlacher not yet up to 100%.
Both our key divisional rivals are 1-2 and neither of them are looking good.
We usually play Dallas well and ought to be able to sack and pick Romo repeatedly. 4-1 coming out of the bye fresh to face Detroit at home is not unrealistic. This team has a golden opportunity here to seize control of this division over the next month.
Can Webb, Cutler, and the WRs get their heads outta their backsides?

Yeah, if the offense could begin hitting on all cylinders in this next game - coupled with the defense and ST's we already have - it could be a great season. And you're right, we often match up well with Dallas.

This team is "half-a-passing-attack away" from being among the NFL's best with the way the defense is playing (7 takeaways, 14 sacks, good run D, and only 3 TDs allowed in 3 games). And all that has been accomplished with Urlacher still playing himself into shape and improving week after week. Tice, Cutler, and Webb just need to keep stepping up their games to get there. I am assuming that the dropsies we have seen will come around. Call me a homer, but I think we have a great chance to win this division with some very attainable improvements in execution and playcalling, especially with Detroit and Green Bay down a game already each.
