Did anyone hear Rodger apologizing that the Refs ruined GBs game? Why doesnt he apologize for his sorry play this season and the end of last season. Yeah the refs made a lot of mistakes last night. But seriously, this is way out of proportion.

    1) Does anyone remember last years NYG@GB playoff game? The refs practically tried to hand GB the game. That game should have been 49-0 NYG
    2) Am I the only one who remembers Tim Tebows first Hail Mary last season. There was a blatantly obvious Defensive pass interference that didnt get called. I didnt see people crying like today.

    3) I have seen yesterdays replay probably 20 times today. To my eyes, Jennings, gets his hand on the ball first(not control, hands). Then Tate. Tate gets it closer to his body and lands on his back. Jennings lands on top of Tate, both of them possessing the ball. Jennings is able to roll, and appear to have more possession of the ball. But that is because he is on top and able to roll some possession away from Tate. Either way, they both still possess the ball. By rule, its Tate's ball.

Just like with regular refs, PI on a Hail Mary, is missed. Big Whoop. IMO, the call on the reception is good.

I don't care how many bad calls the Refs make as long as none of them go against the Bears.

Well, since they are accumulating a body of work you scout the replacement refs. Most teams have a general sense of how some of the regulars call games.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

In the middle, yeah, people would complain, but not like this. There were plenty of missed calls - both ways - in this game. PI, holding, personal fouls. In the end, one call doesn't matter. It's just that it was as time expired and changed the score. Call the hold on GB and there goes that touchdown, Seattle has the lead at the end and there's no hail mary. Seattle wins.

There are myriad ways to look at the entire game. GB had 87 yards the first half. THAT's why they lost. Seattle had 8 sacks in the first half, THAT's why they won.

We as fans look at it with emotion. I hate the packers from way back. I'm happy karma finally paid off. Was it a bad call? I don't know, the replay seems to show both guys with a hand - at least - on the ball when they land. In the end, The call was made. The play was reviewed. per the rules. the call stands. They got it right. I like it. Packers fans hate it. Announcers LOVE it. They get to bitch and moan and cry for Rodgers and pretend they hate it.
I can accept the karma thing Shark. The Packers have benefited from dozens of "homer" calls over the years many of which I've witnessed but was it still a bad call? Hell yes it was. It wasn't a simultaneous possession so the refs applied wrong ruling and that was made plain and simple in ever replay I've watched.

The fact that it wasn't over turned by the replay official is crazy but it's not a big mystery to me. The NFL is going to whatever lengths they can to try and sell those jokers to us and legitimize as many calls as they can without over turning them. You heard the threats against the coaches made publicly but no one heard the rest of the plan. Do not undermine these guys or their calls. Over turn as few as possible.

When even the opposing players are admitting that it was the wrong call then I think we can all accept that it was. Not much point in beating up the refs any longer. If this game and several other I actually was able to watch this weekend didn't prove that they are way over their heads in every respect nothing will.

The NFL owners and their well paid hand puppet Roger Goodell are a joke and a laughing stock on national TV. I will watch every game I can as long as it's freebee but I won't contribute one nickel to their "product" until the make it athletic competition again rather than simple a source of money making entertainment.

It isn't even about the money this time. It's just about winning another round of negotiations at all cost.

Maybe there have been a lot more missed/blown calls...maybe not...
Wolf if you believe that your not watching enough games. And as for delays. You're only counting the actual length of the game. Time the length of the broadcasts.

The total time consumed by the refs and replay officials deciding what we could all see regarding Finnegan's non-fumble from just one view of the replay was over 15 minutes just for that one play.

Once it was determined that the ground caused the fumble the play was dead right then and there. They had no need to review Hester's recovery and whether or not he fumbled when he went down. It was a moot point. But they reviewed the whole sequence anyway.

They simply don't know the rules and how to correctly interpret them and it is slowing down games.

What are teams going to do when the regular officials come back and make mistakes? My opinion is that these officials are human and they are making mistakes yet I can recall several times when the bears have lost the officials made some turd like calls. I remember 2 years ago when we played the packers they pack were called for 18 or 19 penalties and some of these penalties were weak. I have seen instant replay show a player step out of bounds or not have controll of the ball get over turned. What I do believe is that these officials can't do anything right no matter what they do. They are getting nitpicked on every call. Who doesn't see missed calls? How many times did Michael Irvin push off when he played or how many times Peyton Manning drew a penalty when he complained to the refs. The tuck rules still is BS to this day.

That is a good point. I also think they have tried their best (I don't hate these guys, just their work product). They ruined their credibility by the NUMBER of bad calls in MANY games.

The result is that now they are under a microscope. It's hard to even focus on the game now, because we're distracted by what the refs are doing or not doing.

Stick a fork in them. They're done, as far as the fans are concerned.

It should have been known these replacements wouldnt be as good as the originals. Despite years of experience, the original refs made terrible calls as well. I think the call was the right call as far as the simultaneous possession. The rule doesn't say who has more of the possession, it says the offense gets the ball.

For the people saying that Offensive PI should have been called in the replay. Is that fair? Last year, I watched Tim Tebow throw a hail mary, blatant defensive pass interfence should have been called. It wasnt. Nor was it reviewed

    1) Defensive player does a PI, the play wouldnt be automatically reviewed because it isnt a scoring play. The team on defense wins the game.
    2) If the offensive player does the PI and catched the ball, the TD is overturned.

Sounds like a HUGE advantage to the defense.
