If you pull Webb...
Anyone you put in there is automatically better weather it's 30th or 31st LT
You might not chip as much thereby using your TE for other things
The Tice pixie dust and hubris should come to an end if Webb gets posterized on MNF.
Like it or not you put Carimi at LT Cwill at LG, Spencer at RG and Louis at RT. NO it's not right nor is it fair but cheezus it's far more effective than the fail of Webb and Chilo left side.
If this is kept up after a fail it's intentional incompetence.

I feel like we've been discussing the LT spot for the best part of a decade now.

still think we have to find a way to get Long now or as FA. If not, trade for a good LT with 2 1sts or something like this

We can rearrange the deck chairs all we want, but we set sail this season without an oline. I'm fine with benching all of them except for Louis and Carimi. The problem is that there is nobody on that bench who is better than our starters.
It's a sad situation.
But this is the decision that was made by the Bears - that the oline was not going to be fixed this year. Now we have to live with that decision.
That's reality.
With Lovie's (and Tice's) jobs on the line this year, don't you think that if there WAS a better oline option, that it would have been made by now? Use your common sense here. There is no pixie dust. There is no magic cure for our oline woes. You either have the talent on your team's roster - or you don't.
We don't.

When I re-watched the game Chilo was half way decent. MUCH better than Spencer, so why you want him back on the field is beyond me.

I agree regarding Rachal being better than Spencer. Other than Carimi and Louis, we really don't have the talent - starting OR on the bench. I wish is was as simple as rearranging the deck chairs by bringing another guy off the bench. The starters AND the bench players are not very good. Period.
We're delusional if we think we can "fix" this oline mid-season. This is a BIG problem that will take Emery an off-season to fix. In fact it will take more than one off-season to fix right.
That's reality. We don't like to hear that. But it's the situation we find ourselves in.

ONe has to truly wonder the full intentions of the Bears front office here with regards to maintaining Lovie and his woeful staff, as guides to the teams future
Some say Emery can’t do everything in a season, why not at least start
Dallas loses one of their starting safeties and they have 5 guys try out ,..
The Bears need oline help and try out 4 RBs ,...., WTF is that ???
Since the beginning of the season the Bears have acquired one Oline man in Scott who has game time experience, his worth remains to be seen
It’s been said they need more than one line man... then why not try out a few more guys, at least to shore up the line,... sign a couple to one or two year contracts .. If they’re sitting home they’re not worth NFL olineman top dollar this I believe would hopefully give Emery some time over a two - three year period to get get some decent draft picks here
In not seeing this , I’m beginning to believe,... the ship has set sail and Lovie & company must do with what they have,... and they are getting all the rope they want ...
My questions here, what if Cutler goes down to a more serious injury ?
Has this musical chairs game been worth it ?

My post was if you took out Webb. Cwill is better than Chilo at LG and Spencer is better at RG NOT LG. The swap was putting Carimi at LT and Louis at RT then put the rest out there.
I'll be selling pitchforks and torch oil if the QB gets hurt due to this debacle.
