German, and when his pisses his pants, I'll remain hard on him. I have never said trade him, drop him, get rid of him. I said that when everything isn't going well he needs to not do what Romo did, turn the ball over 3+ times(2 not really on him, but it is what it is).
Everyone on this board knows what he can do when everything goes near perfect, it's what keeps people saying he's just on the outside of elite. WHEN things are going well he HAS to have games like this, when things are NOT going well he needs sub 3 turn overs and find a way to pull back to do just enough to keep his team in the game and give them a chance to win.

He was def. Under pressure tonight, giving up the fumble and having yo move around more in the pocket. I will say this, were it not for tillman's int, the bears offensive gameplan would have continued to be as awkward as it was. As ric says about cutler when things aren't going good at all, i say about tice when we have a close game....also surprised it's no bfd when Cutler refused to speak with Tice on the sideline, probably because we won. I liked it either way, but if the cowboys were on the winning side, i could see some real breakdowns between qb and oc.

What we learned last night was the O line sucks, QB throws way too many INTs, the Defense played like a bunch of old women and we don't have a running game. I think that covers everything.
Oh damn I thought I was on the Cowboys board. Sorry.

I learned that we can indeed make halftime adjustments.
I learned that I am officially on the Chris Conte bandwagon.
I learned that Webb can do what he needs to, as long as he keeps his feet moving.
I learned that someone (OC?) has finally figured out that you have to actually run the ball in order to effectively play action pass.
I learned that Forte is pretty darn tough.
I learned that momentum is everything to the Bears, literally, everything.
I already knew that the Bears fans travel well, but it was good to see that displayed again last night.
I learned that Lovie is a genius compared to Jason Garrett.

I learned that:
Our Oline can play well, belive it or not.
Someone found out that we need to run the ball and then throw.
Webb can block.
And that Cutler can look for others than BM.

I disagree, I thought the offense played like complete garbage. Bears D blew a dump right on Big-D's face. I saw Jay "Crybaby" Cutler get in a 'tiff with with Tice and for good reason. Tice has been absolutely horrible this season, great as the OL coach last year, but man he stinks as the OC.
YES MARTZ WAS BETTER.
Our offense has been pathetic this year, which is business as usual in Chicago I guess. All this talk about a high powered offense and here we are leaning on old stand-bys like Lance Briggs and Charlies Tillman.
For the life of me I cannot understand why it is so important to get DH involved in the offense. He absolutely sucks as a receiver. The only problem is that we pay him so damn much that we can't justify only using him on ST. I mean come on he is so bad. I know everyone is high on the fact that he caught a touchdown, but look at all the other plays he was involved in. Terrible short passes and end arounds that make Tice look even more foolish than he already does. At least Martz was smart enough to keep him out of the offense. Its not like DH is a rookie okay, his speed is waning and if he was going to develop as a receiver he would have done that by now. Forget Hester. Our receivers are Marshal, Jeffery, and Bennett. Thats a solid core, much better than last year even though Tice can't get it done with those guys.
Our offense sucks, passer rating means nothing so don't even try to tell me Cutler had a good night because he didn't turn the ball over for once. I am Jay Cutler, I have stud receivers, one of the best running backs ever and a great backup RB in bush, but I can't hand the ball off and I can't hit a receiver unless everything is perfect in the pocket. I can cry a lot though, I'm good at that.
I'd also like to call out D.J. "big mouth" Moore who got burned repeatedly last night and got scored on. He caught a "gimme" interception so im sure everyone will disagree with me that he had a bad night but hey, its just my opinion.

Midway, DH had a couple nice grabs this week, caught 2 of 3, and the one miss we don't know if it was a bad route or a bad throw; but it's not a route DH should be running. No he's not a rookie, he's a 4th year WR...not in the pro's, 4th year total, he didn't play WR in HS or College. So he's going to look bad at times, but he's 100% better then his first few years. On his TD catch he made the hole 2ndry look like fools. His role should be limited, 3-4 plays a game, but not removed all together.
You have to give the ball to other WR's not named marshal, to allow Marshal some room to breath, and last night you saw that happen. They went to Davis, Hester, Jeffery, Bush, Forte more then they went to BM and when the D had to account for other players Marshal was freed up to make big plays.
Disagree Martz wasn't better...unless he had Lovie/Tice forcing him to run the ball. What happened to Romo last night was classic Martz, ignore the run and put your qb in a bad position. Dallas is 7-0 when Murray runs at least 17 times...Dallas ran 14 total; DM 11; and it was a close game w/no reason to give up. Tice for the first time, even though we started slow, came up w/a good gameplan(imo) where they ran the ball, got the D to commit and then got the ball out quick to whoever was open.
Cutler had a great game last night, he missed 6 passes out of 24 and averaged over 11ypa w/2 td's. That's good for any qb. He hit 6 different players's, and targeted 7 in pass attempts, which shows he was going through his progressions. .
Moore didn't have a great game b/c he gave up 1 td, but the DB's in general had a field day against a set of really good WR's and a really good QB w/out the help of the DL getting to the qb.

Sorry dude, Hester played WR in BOTH HS and College. He just wasn't one of the STARTING WR's for the Hurricanes. That said, I understand and agree with your defense of the Windy City Flyer.

You have to wonder if we would be 4-0 right now if Tice had playcalled like that in week 2. The running game to start, the short pass routes early, the protection/chip help, the rollouts/bootlegs...all very nice to see. Much much much better performance by the coaching staff last night.
