[QUOTE=XxMidwayMonstersxX;908178]I disagree, I thought the offense played like complete garbage. Bears D blew a dump right on Big-D's face. I saw Jay "Crybaby" Cutler get in a 'tiff with with Tice and for good reason. Tice has been absolutely horrible this season, great as the OL coach last year, but man he stinks as the OC.
YES MARTZ WAS BETTER.
You REALLY wanna try all this w/o a TE????
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

TR is pretty slippery and got rid of the ball fairly quickly. The Briggs "pick 6" was really a sack-fumble, not an interception. Even so, the DL did a great job despite a lack of sacks in terms of raw numbers. Stuffed the run and had Romo hurrying all night. Thank God Dez did his best Roy Williams impersonation via big drops cuz he & TR left 2 TDs and several other big plays on the field that would have made it a close game.

This is based on a garbage time TD when the Defense stopped caring?

And I noticed we had a lot of our #2's in at that point. Marinelli had some of our key starters out of the game (which I thought was a great move).

Shea was pushed inside quite often to help Romo move out more easily.
Jay did throw off his back foot, and forced a few passes, but he made 2-3x's more good decisions then bad ones, and that's what you need in today's NFL gunslinger.
In all honesty neither of those sacks was on the OL. One was a bootleg that misfired (I like the call even when it doesn't work to keep the DL honest) and the other--the fumble--was 100% on Jay. Ware beat Webb to the outside but he did an ok job of shoving him around deep. Cutler simply, as Gruden said correctly, held the ball a full second too long with everyone well covered. We all saw it coming before it happened. Jay shouldn't have ran and slid or chucked it away when "the alarm clock in his head" went off. I can't fault Webb for that. You're not going to keep Ware away from your QB 4+ seconds every time. All-in-all, Webb played a damn good game IMHO.
It didn't end up costing us but Shea had a rough "learning experience" game for a rookie DE. He couldn't keep the edge all that well and missed an open field tackle. It happens.

okay you're right, but I don't think it was much in college(10-15 catches in 32, that's 1 catch every 2-3 games while at Miami.) cannot say in HS. He was mostly a CB/ST guy. I just don't think you can expect him to be a polished WR 4 years into really learning the position. And I don't think he'll ever be a great WR. But I think he can be a hell of a 3rd option running simple routes where he is facing the ball in space.

Everyone on this board knows what he can do when everything goes near perfect, it's what keeps people saying he's just on the outside of elite. WHEN things are going well he HAS to have games like this, when things are NOT going well he needs sub 3 turn overs and find a way to pull back to do just enough to keep his team in the game and give them a chance to win.
Agree completely. Obviously better protection, better playcalling, and better receiver play all helped a lot. But we all can see what Jay is capable of (like in the Philly MNF game last year) when things are right and he's "on". His CEILING IS HIGH. No complaints there. What he needs to do to become an elite QB is RAISE HIS FLOOR when things are tough.
Take what the D gives you even when it is not what you want or hoped for. Protect the ball and limit forced throws and stupid picks. Keep your composure and gut out an "ugly win" when his supporting cast is having an off day. That kind of stuff.

Of course I was pumped during this entire game, but I also have my reservations.
The main one is that our offense was completely stress free last night. The defense played lights out which removed any pressure from our offense to perform... which resulted in them play great... but the issue is that anytime we need the offense to perform, it collapses. So eventhough I'm pumped about this game, and think that it was a key game in our schedule, I still have reservations about the offense being able to step up when it's needed.
