The chips with our TEs I think does wonders to help him
If you really watch him you'll notice his leverage, upperbody work and strength isn't the problem his foot work is
Seems he struggles against speed rushes where he gets too much momentum going and gets beat but when he gets into someone he not only is a solid blocker but has an abIlity to finish them
Once big old Webb can get his paws into someone he is in really good shape, when they have him moving his foot work breaks down and he ends up in trouble

I'll give more credit to the OC that no longer trusted him to be on an island for more then 15 plays(only 6-8 when Ware bothered to rush).
I'll give more credit to a DC who was too stupid to not rush Ware EVERYTIME against Webb.
Then I'll give some love to Webb and Rachal, both had their best games; even if it was more to do w/scheme.

That's exactly what I see too Grizz. He can dominate DEs when he can lock onto them but unless he can he struggles both with the outside speed rush and with that double move back inside.
Allowing him to play the inside move and giving him help to the outside seems to work. I didn't see the whole game the other night but from the few plays that I did see whenever they gave him help that the way they blocked it and it worked.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Ah never mind.
Good points all brother. He got some help at times but from what little I saw of the game he kept the edge pretty clear and took Ware around the back of the pocket most of the time.
Maybe playing Rachal next to him IS the answer. Rachal is a lot more physical player than Spencer and having someone playing next to him who plays in that style might be just the edge he needed. Rachal and Garza seemed to work better at keeping the pocket from collapsing too. That allowed Cutler a little extra time and gave him some space to step up into before he threw.
Now these guys need to put another game together just like it next week and THEN maybe I'll start to believe we've turned another corner.
Yup, Webb looked reasonable. Will take a lot more occurences before I *believe*, but I always *hope*. Our Oline did turn a corner all right, but they appear to be going around a hexadecagon.

I know that Webb got a lot of help. I laughed when they replayed Kyle Adams essentially getting picked up off the ground and pushing him into the air for a few seconds. But, he still didn't allow a sack against maybe the best pass rusher in the league. Teams do that all the time, even with a double team. Good planning by our OC there, and good execution by Webb and the TEs

I laughed too. Kyle looked like he'd stepped in front of a speeding Amtrak
