Here's another way to put it. Yelling at and pushing your own players doesn't make you a bad guy or a bad QB. It doesn't make you a leader either.
If only leadership was this easy, then anyone could do it.
Kyle Orton could scream at a teammate, push him & he's Joe Montana. Any rook could yell at a teammate and he's Julius Peppers.
Being a jerk with your teammates doesn't make you a leader.
Does that make better sense?

A lot of QBs have rifts with their Teammates. Doesnt mean they are not good teammates or leaders.
Rodgers was just seen yelling at his receiver 2 weeks ago.
Last year, Brady was cursing out his OC on the sidelines
P Manning had a fued with his kicker
P Manning also called out his O-line in a press conference
The list goes on an on. The difference is, the media doesnt dwell on it.

I was listening to the Packers post game show on Sunday night (I live near the border and get 620AM) and heard Rodgers actually say the interception he threw was his fault. That's right....the NFL MVP and a Super Bowl champion QB admitted his faults. Please tell me when pretty boy Jay, at any point, admitted that the 4 ints. were his fault? Did he admit that the strip sack was his fault because he held the ball too long on Monday night? It's never Jay's fault according to Jay. THAT is the difference between him and Rodgers (besides the fact that Rodgers is a better pure passer and athlete that Cutler). We've got Favre 2.0. Strong armed gunslinger without any humility.
BTW...McMahon was a better QB than Cutler. Jim happened to be a QB in an era of run first offense. He could sling the ball with more accuracy. He proved it at BYU and in Chicago when given the chance. Besides, Jim, for all of his bravado, was seen as a tough guy and could meet gut-check time.....get himself off the canvas. Cutler.....well, you saw the NFC Championship game. Until Cutler starts playing smart football he deserves the same rear end chewing that he gives his teammates. If he was so well respected, why would Moore say what he said?
You've got a line and I ain't buying it.
Oh that's a hoot. And you're a better MAN because you come on a fan site complaining about him and making him this weeks whipping boy again right after he just had the best statistical game of his career. These are pretty hollow words. I guess we define manhood in different way Blitz.
You don't listen when he talks do you? You hear words but you don't listen to the message anymore than some of the media and other members here do. I think he's admitted on many occasions faults that were his. Far more than he ever talks about the faults of others. You comment about Marshall is another example of how you don't get the whole story.
Did he yell at Marshall over his drop in the Packer game. Well not that we know of or at least not at that moment. But he did indicate, and so did Marshall, that Cutler got on him this week about playing within the system which tells me that Marshall was "freelancing" his routes too much and not where Jay wanted him to be.
So two guys got an earful from Cutler and both guys played much better games last night and that was one of the reasons the offense played better ball and the Bears won the game. Isn't that right? The only problem you have with this is the way Cutler went about it two weeks ago as opposed to the way he went about it this past week. Well boo hoo hoo. It worked didn't it?
It's his job to win football games and it's also his job to kick some butt when players aren't playing up to their potential. He does it too himself often enough too but you have to do more than just listen to the words and filter them through your preconceived notions that Cutler isn't what you call a "leader".
Like I said, he's not what YOU want or expect but I'll take him over the alternatives available any day. Oh, and Aaron Rodgers doesn't play for the Bears so making the comparison is useless unless you think you can get then to do a swap. Then would you be happy?
Jim McMahon was a better QB? Maybe. He did win a Super Bowl. Jim McMahon was a more accurate passer? LMFAO! Not on this planet. Jim McMahon didn't have half the arm or the accuracy of Jay Cutler. Forget about college. We're talking about their pro careers.
Jimmy Mac could get himself off the canvas when he was still on the canvas but he got carried out knocked out of games far more often than Cutler ever has. Mac never played 16 games in a season his entire career.
Look your obviously a Packer fan Cheezy and you're just here to troll. The whole slant of your posts make that obvious so go the fvck back to cheese land and be happy that the Pack isn't 1-3 right now. They were a missed FG away from it. We have some Packer fans who post here who are welcome as members but I can see you aren't planning on being around long so I'm not gonna waste anymore time with you. So here's my farewell to you.
Good Luck the rest of the year. Now go home. Your cows need milking.

Scotty read his shit. This guy is a Packer troll. Look at his board name. Cheeseburger Blitz. Tell you anything? He's not a Bears fan and if his only reason for being here is to troll post about Cutler and praise his great Aaron Rodgers we don't need him.
One more troll post out of him and I'm gonna ask the staff to send him packing. He's not here to to talk Bears football he's here only to join in putting Cutler down.

There are levels of mental toughness and what a PROFESSIONAL TRAINED ATHLETE should take. Military anecdotes aside there comes a point to where your used to a player or coach yelling at you or having a heated exchange. If you let little things run you you'll be run only by little things. Pretty soon someone looking at someone cross-eyed (or getting off the bench quickly) is a major party foul.
I really gotta laugh. I've seen sports where this ticky tack stuff wouldn't even register for olympic women gymnasts, wrestlers, or judoka. It's an absolute joke. If that crap dishevels you so much then how the hell will they do in a even more pressurized situation? And were not even talking a life or death adreanalized situation. Dust ups happen right or wrong, you let it flow off your back and move on. Constantly going over a negative event one REINFORCES negative results.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

I believe you're right. I think my only problem with all of this has been linking yelling at people = being a leader. People lose their tempers. Hey, I'm OK with that. It doesn't make you a good or bad QB. And I think your teammates can understand people lose their tempers in the heat of a game. I'm cool with that too.
My only point is that yelling does not make a person a leader.
This "leader" thing struck a nerve with me because I have known some guys in my life (some dead now) whom I considered great leaders. I deeply admired them. None of them yelled or pushed their people. Their men followed them and would follow them to Hell and back. I really found it bizarre that some folks think Cutler is being a "leader" when he yells or pushes his teammates. I'm not condemning the guy. Just pointing out that I don't believe that is leadership.
Hey, I just want Cutler to perform well for our team. That's all. He can be a complete butt hole if he wants. I'm ok with that. Just keep "Good Jay" out there from now on and I'm a happy camper.

Oh yeah. Did you let your DI or your Platoon Sargent know you felt that way?

Well, two of those pics pretty clearly hit the ground and one came because Bennett sat back and let the ball get picked off instead of stepping up to catch it, so that would have been pretty silly for him to admit. And the rest of the post is pretty much craziness.
