To this day that is my opinion of Hester as a WR, if it hits him in the hands he'll make the effort, otherwise, no. add that to his complaining about not getting the ball. But that catch yesterday changed my mind. He went after that ball. Just laid himself out like superman and hauled it in, getting a facefull of dirt when his mask dragged along the ground. The cliche is "he never batted an eye", but he did, while catching the ball basically one-handed. Call me impressed.
Now if only JC could have hit him in stride, that was a TD.
That play impressed me too. Hester is the real-deal now as a WR. He has great hands now. Much better this year, it's like he's come into his own now that he doesn't have the pressure of Martz trying to make him a #1 WR (he'll never be a #1 WR).

I've been completely impressed with him. Receivers tend to take several years to develop into top talent, and he looks like he's on the fast track.

That coupled w/the td last week where that ball didn't move and you see him coming into his own. I think that has more to do w/seeing Marshal and having a mentor capable of teaching him; heavens know it has zero to do w/drake...worst wr coach in the nfl.

Well I guess with all the drops he had, he must have been REAL happy to catch a ball, let alone a first down.
