Detroit: Very important game here, do not sleep on Detroit. They will be looking for a big win in the division. They have tons of talent and that kid Best that absolutely TORE US UP last year is back. This is the game where Urlacher could get exposed. We need him healthy and speedy enough to keep up with Best. Last year he was not up to the challenge, we all hope he is ready this year.
Carolina: Carolina is dangerous, Cam Newton is a player. He could go off. I know hes in a sophomore slump now but in a few weeks that could be old news. They play people tough, look for an exciting game here.
Tennessee: See Jacksonville game, hopefully with more offense this time.
Huston: This is the signature win the Bears are looking for. We need this win more than anything. It proves the Bears are for real and sends a message to the rest of the league. We match up well with Huston, no one runs on the Bears. If we can force them to pass we can force some mistakes from Schaub, who really isn't that good of a quarterback. I'm already excited to watch this one.
3-1. I'm drinking the kool-aid and think with a more rested Pep and Urls coming off a bye the D will improve even more. ST needs to get on a roll or start to during this stretch.
Detroit: My take on Detroit is that they have been playing undisciplined football. Both of their last two losses were due to poor defensive performances. The biggest culprit for them has been poor tackling. This past Sunday was their bye week, if I'm the Lions' HC, then I've had them doing tackling drills for the last week, maybe more. We will have a much better idea of how tough the Lions-Bears game will be after Sunday. All that being said, the Bears have 15 days to prepare for this game. Teams coming off a bye week (bears) win more often than not. I'm going Bears.
Carolina: The panthers have been scoring points on people. On offense, only the TOP significantly favors the Bears. Defense (and turnover ratio) favors the Bears. This is a game we Should win, but can lose.
Tennessee: While I'm not too worried about this game. (titans have not been a good team this year) 4 weeks into the future is tough to predict. The Bears should win this one.
Houston: I WANT the Bears to win this one. But this is too far ahead to me to figure out. Ask me again in 3 weeks.
Lol ricz you are awesome!
Go smokin jay cutler!!! Bump that post for me ric!
It's the NFL, so I wouldn't be completely shocked if they lost to the Lions, Panthers or Texans. I would be pretty surprised losing to Tennessee. However, I think they are a much better team than Det, Ten and Car. Houston might be better at this point, but it doesn't mean a whole lot over the course of 60 minutes, especially when we have them at home. As long as the Bears win at least two of these four, nobody gets injured and the offense keeps progressing, I will be happy.
That being said, I will take a wild shot in the dark and say the Bears have four more games very similar to the last two, including beating Houston by double digits. ESPN will wipe Packer cum away from its mouth and declare the Bears the best team in football, they will then lose a sloppy game to the 49ers, and ESPN will declare that the Bears suck again.
Great point, in fact, the last half of our season is against some excellent competition. But, I really like that. We will go into the playoffs a stronger team, having played great competition. The key will be to stay healthy. Injuries to key players is the only season-killer this year. If we stay relatively healthy (at least with our key players like Tillman, Urlacher, Peppers, B.Marsh, Cutler etc, staying healthy), then we're going to be a powerful team in the playoffs. The offense should be a LOT better at that point.
I think the Texans lost Cushing for the year and their ST looked real suspect on MNF. So they aren't bulletproof.
