Knox did suck but less suckage than Roy Williams. I am not a big johnny Knox fan but I don't hate him either.

How that man stole a decade of employment from the bears organization is beyond me. Shoulda fired him after he lost Roosevelt Colvin in 2001.
I think the sponge baths he was giving to virginia or michael is what kept him employed for such a long time.

we played against 5 NFL teams with NFL players.

We won 4 of them. No W is a gimme. Vikes vs SF? IND vs GB?

NO the bears have not played any one yet ,... But will they ???

AS PER the Bears schedule ,... the toughest part is up and coming

To date per the Bears wins, ONLY 1 of those wins is against a winning team, and that would currently be the Rams.

The Bears have dealt the Rams their worse loss yet this season,. with the Cards coming in a fairly close 2nd with a win over the Rams as well, another team the Bears will play this season and is also currently above .500 leading their division at 4-1

CURRENTLY 6 out of the next 11 games will be against opponents with winning records ,..2 with the queens at 4-1 , Texans at 5-0, Cards at 4-1, 9ers at 4-1,

The bears are far from being out of the woods ... ...with regards to the schedule

I agree with the OP with regards to the O ... IMO The bears could have had + 700 yards Offense on Sunday

The Coaches need to get a handle on this and the players NOW, if they expect to advance into the post season
The better teams won’t be that easy to beat, let alone forgiving , after a 3-3 half time score

on another note, ...my own personal observation ... It seems the “ O” is still pre-seasoning it, so to speak .. working out the eaks and creaks. It’s no secret Lovie has tried to keep the team as competitiveas they can through the first third of the season,... while at the same time takiong a pre -season approach to the earlier games. I just wish he’s turn ‘em all loose and be done with it

Since the D seems to be setting a trend, knocking the heck out of the opposing QB’s QB rating

Per my opening statement here and the topic at hand My question is

Are the Bears the better team across the board here with regards to who they have yet to play?

    They do have their moments

    Time will tell I guess

We have won, this is all that matters. As long as we win we have nothing to worry about. Would this have been enough to beat the 9ers? I doubt it. The team knows this too. They know that Gabbert sucks and will hand us the ball over. They know that this year MJD hurt himself really bad with the holdout. They know what they can do. They just took their time. We have won, no complaints. Every game will be different. Who says the 9ers will take advantage of our slow start on O?
Who says we need more Offense when we are 4-1 ???
We have won more games than the Lions and Packers. Vikings aren't for real and will not be in competition for the division title.

Hell, we even sat Cutler to give Campbell some playing time. This tells it all

A win is a win. Every game is importen specially in the NFL where you only play 16 games a year. Sure it's not SB contenders, BUT it's a win. You see the Colts beating Packers, you see the Seahawks beating Packers. Some game is perhaps easier on paper, but it's not always that way. Before the season started I think most had Packers 5-0 or 4-1.. Now they're 2-3.

Did someone expect the Pats to lose to Cards?
    Oderint dum metuant.

I love the fact that we HAVE played some easier games to open our season. This helps us get the kinks out and build max chemistry before we have to face the best teams in the NFL during our last half of the season. We were especially blessed to play the Rams and Colts early - two teams that will get significantly better as this season progresses.

    It's a "good thing"

    Thanks For The Memories

My thoughts exactly. I would rather come out with a few "easier" games and then face some of the tougher teams than to have to face sanfran or houston right off the bat. It gives us time to gel, especially with a new offense, etc.

Also should be noted that for the most part, we haven't been squeaking by teams we "should beat" either. We have been demolishing them. The Bears defense has been a huge pleasant surprise this year so far. Granted we haven't played the strongest of competition yet offensively, but the numbers are impressive regardless. 3rd in points allowed. First in interceptions. First in sacks. 2nd in rushing yards allowed. And all of that without Urlacher even playing close to the level we are used to. As far as the offense is concerned, they seem to be getting progressively better every week...which really should be expected. If they really start clicking, this team is going to be really tough to beat down the stretch.

Smile. It's a good year to be a Bears fan.
