Bears have the second best record in the NFC (6-1), but some people are calling them over rated because they have only beaten one team that currently has a record over .500 and that "we haven't beaten anyone yet"
want to know what other teams have only beaten one team with a record over .500?
Falcons (7-0)
49ers (6-2)
Giants (5-2)
Ravens (5-2)
Anyone hear any of those teams being called over rated?
If the Bears are "over rated" what the hell are the rest of these teams? Maybe the NFL as a whole is over rates then
The Bears have taken care of business, beating the teams on their schedule. If the offense can better then we can beat anyone. If the offense doesn't get its act together, then we will still be decent, but we just won't reach our full potential THIS season.
Over-rated, or not, we really don't know yet.
Well that maybe true but every game is important but a lot of the good teams so far e.g. SF, ATL etc haven't played good teams and there playing well.
The Vikings and Seahawks are REALLY starting to fall from orbit, the 49ers can be manhandled by good defenses, the Texans can be beaten by effective quarterbacks. Depends on how you wanna look at it. I think we'll win at least 50 games this year.
It's not up to us to put THEIR best teams on the field .. you run what you brung.
If we WIn ... it's because we DESERVED it. End of story.
The same Panthers that almost beat the Bears, lost in a similar fashion to the 7-0 Falcons. The Texans got beat by the Packers, same as the Bears, except the Texans got man-handled. The Lions played the 49'ers as tough as they did the Bears. There's a lot of parity this season. None of the "elite" teams, at the midway point of this season, are without their struggles. In-fact, a number of middle of the road teams are a few plays from being elite and a number of elite teams are a few plays from being middle of the road teams.
The real question will be who can do enough to make the play-offs and get hot once there... because the way things are panning out, I don't see any locks for the SB (i.e. anyone can beat anyone and it wouldn't be considered a major upset).
