Once ‘‘a place where receivers go to die,’’ Muhsin Muhammed once famously said, Chicago suddenly has become a place where receivers are almost begging to play.
But purported interest from Plaxico Burress and Terrell Owens in the wake of rookie Alshon Jeffery’s hand injury will go for naught. Bears general manager Phil Emerysaid he’s not interested.
‘‘We feel very good about our wide receiver depth,’‘ Emery said. ‘‘We added a player to our practice squad [second-year pro Kamar Aiken] to make sure that we were in a good, competitive situation for practice to continue to improve and that’s where we’re at right now with that.’’

When Moose made that statement, I hated it and (at the time) knew he was right.
Now it's a different story, yet it comes back again and again.
WRs are generally FOS Prima Donnas. Rex was Moose's main man back then, all he did was talk.
I bet he doesn't even send Sex Cannon a Christmas card anymore.

Isn't it sweet that we finally have depth at the positions of need as opposed to previous seasons when we would be in panic mode by now.

Certainly. Hell, that underacheiving piece of crap threw Grossman under the bus when they were still teammates. Moose should have been thankful for Rex's blunders, because is covered up for the fact that he was slow, never got open and couldn't catch the ball.
