Whoever wrote that article should not be writing articles. That was an awful write up of those players.

I wonder what that was all about? Dead cows tell no tales.

Well, he, ummmm, "had his way" with the cow. After F'ing the cow, he graduated to F'ing Da Bears.

To be honest WNML, I didn't read his narrative. I just looked at the names of the failed draft picks & it really brought back a lot of bad memories.
It seemed to me that Jerry Angelo was a good guy (I actually liked the guy), who just couldn't evaluate talent well. He wasn't a horrible GM, but just not good enough. I look at the franchises who have a trophy case full of Lombardi's, and then think of our lone win from over a quarter century ago (the trophy is probably in a dusty attic at Halas Hall by now, like a cast off from an old garage sale.......they probably don't even remember what a Super Bowl trophy even looks like there
).
We always whine here about getting no respect from the sports media. I ask myself "why would they respect us?" .....just because we had some great teams from a long, long, long time ago? Until we get a few RECENT Super Bowl WINS, we are a joke to them. They see us with a QB now who can be "Good Jay" or "Bad Jay" on any given week - and who acts like a spoiled child lunatic at times. As fans we want to give him a "pass" on his nutty behavior in our hope that he will be "Good Jay" enough to get us to the promised land.
Hopefully things will turn around this year, and stay good under Emery's watch.

Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

JA would still be going after arena league DE's if he were here.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Oh yeah, the list by itself is bad. We all know JA was not the greatest drafter of talent in the early rounds. But to read a badly written list finding fault with every single player to come through the Bears draft is annoying.
It was written by someone who doesn't know the drafts well and does not have the ability to use other words for "bad" besides "bad". Critique of late draft picks is just stupid because those are just a crap shoot anyway. I guess Emery fails because he did not hit on Frey or the other 7th round CB we drafted.
There is plenty to critique on Angelo's draft. To complain that late round guys from 2002 and 2003 aren't currently on an NFL roster is not fair to those players.

I haven't heard of HALF of these duds. He did have some gems though Forte, Hester, Briggs, Tillman and some good/decent ones like Melton, Orton (He wasn't great but he did bring us Cutler), Manning, Olsen, Bennett etc. I am just using some names as examples and all.

Blowing a 3rd round pick on little Garrett Wolfe was a classic. I've always wondered if JA knew something we didn't regarding GW (maybe he could jump out of a back yard wading pool or something.......
).

I blame Cutler if he hadn't come to Chicago we would still have bad QBs and won't have even noticed how bad Williams or Webb really are.

Wolfe was just one more guy who was poorly used in the offense. Like running him between the tackles was the right way to use a "scat back". JA was looking for his Warrick Dunn and he missed.......badly. But we never did us him correctly on offense.
He did play pretty well on STeams though but overall not well enough to have spent a 3rd on him.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
