No one has mentioned the best one out there yet: Matt Bowen.

Matt Bowen, hands down. Most of the other local beat guys are a complete joke in my opinion.

Bowen
Biggs
Haugh
I can't listen to radio and such where I'm at as far as the others. You know Mayer has to keep it a certain way but he does at least touch on the tough stuff. Plus he's a good fact checker when he does Q and A's.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

we can agree to disagree, but Hub just rarely gets to high or low on the Bears, after losses, even really bad ones, he rarely rails on them. Over the last 20 years he's had ever right to be negative, most of those years have been a merely average at best team w/no qb, what was really to be high on other then the D and a RB?
He though, just like the talking heads, when your team has a qb, rb, wr AND solid D they are going to be high on you. Many, Hub included, had the Bears in the playoff hunt, hell Cowherd(that guy IS a Bears hater) had them going to the SB before the season started, so it's not just the 4-1 record that is "forcing" them to be high on the Bears.
man ya I forgot Bowen
SFB, I listen on the internet to chicago sports radio, and when I cannot do that I listen to it on tune in radio on my cell phone.

Yeah we will disagree on Hub but I too am ashamed that I forgot all about Bowen. He's by far the best out there but then again he's not a journalist. Probably why he's so good.

Matt Bowen, he takes the time to edjumakate us futbol ID10Ts...
That being said, I also get a fair amount of info off 670am or the Chicago Tribune. That equals a fair amount of Biggs/Haugh.
