Campbell's Chicken Soup
Cutler's injured, Campbell comes in. Checkdown passes. Inaccurate. Chicken bleep.
Maybe I should be calling Tice out here, but WHY do you throw Campbell out there for the injury time, and run nothing but passing plays? The guy clearly is nothing but a checkdown passer. At least start with a couple runs and let the guy get warmed up. Maybe I'll start referring to Tice as "Vegetable" Soup.

LOL....Campbell looked scared and confused. After seeing Cutler get dropped, I think he didn't want Suh to turn him into chicken noodle soup...

My thought when they showed Campbell, "OH snap who the hell do I give this mic pack to?"

That clearly goes on the play calling. His first time out... it looked like Campbell was only able to turn his clipboard in for his helmet and ran out on the field without throwing a pass or two to get the arm loose.
During his second stint when Cutty went to get his ribs evaluated... I think Tice even had Campbell in the shotgun set without a back at one moment.
None of my posts on this forum have been aided by the use of deer-antler spray...

I am happy that we have Campbell. He isnt as good as Cutler, but Campbell is much better than several starters in the league.

Bet they're prepping him now. This served as a good wake up call.

Honestly, Tice is getting lucky, and if we lose against the toughest defenses we're gonna play this year (HOU, SF, SEA, MIN) I'm gonna cut him a little slack, as this is his first go around, BUT he's having garbage defenses to play against (although DET's from 7 looked very good) so he should quickly be learning that if "this" doesn't work against a crappy team, then maybe we should try "that" instead against the good ones. I guess i'm repeating myself from another thread, but the key here is patience, and the season isn't even half way over, and we're doing very well. With that said, it's obvious that Tice isn't making the most out of the situation points wise, but despite last night, he's getting the o-line better. It kinda reminds me how the d-line looked a little better under Marinelli, at first, while the rest of the D wasn't all that good, then BAM! things start falling into shape. He needs to have Campbell, who was my #1 FA hope this year and arguably the best backup QB in the league, ready in case Cutler goes down.

And that's my point, Henry. Campbell is supposed to be a decent starter, but looked like crud. You can't take the clipboard out of his hands and expect him to start throwing the ball. Start with some run plays, let him warm up and get into the flow. Then call a pass.
